I'm not interested in anyone I know in the 'real world', but I'm curious.. How would you approach someone/let them know you're single without blurting it out?

Especially for those of us that are single parents.

To find "the one" I think is just as difficult in real life as on the net.

If you are looking for just someone to spend some time with for a little while...I think it's way easier in real life.

You just need to go out by yourself and not rush..! I figured that every time (even when I wanted to be on my own) I went for a walk at the beach, or a museum, in a park, waiting for a bus, on the plane, in a cafe...lost in my thoughts someone would start talking to me and bother my tranquility.

Sometimes nice guys...

That's the hard thing, lol. I can't! No car and no way to get anywhere unless I'm with my son and my mom somewhere.

Ideally, that would be the best way :) Just hang out and randomly chat.

I randomly chat to the college guys and gals when I'm just hanging around there. Think one of the guys was interested till he found out I was 8 years older than him :p Haha.. It just wasn't gonna work.
