That guy who does the commercials for Trivago?
I think he is talking just to me.
Really.
So, it is either the TV or him that is unsettling.

Heights freak me out, I mean it just overwhelms me.At work I have to go up to the top floor of the resort from time to time and even though I know there is a ton of concrete I can't look down(I always do) without getting a chill up my spine.

What really freaks me out is that weird noise the refrigerator makes in the middle of the night sometimes.

Heights freak me out too. I had to take my clients' to a show last week in an arena. I didn't realize how high up we were until we got to the door of the arena. I was clinging onto the railing to get to my seat.scared

I worked on the construction of the UK's highest building The Shard, in London, at over 1000ft, it was a bit nervy at first, but you get used to it and then you didn't even think of the height anymore, or the safety harnesses that were anchoring you to the building either, you just did your job. drinker

My brother called me yesterday and told me that someone that had the same name as him got robbed and murdered. It obviously wasn't him that got killed but I didn't watch the news yesterday like usual. Neither did my parents but I had the task of telling them

This...heights! I can't even stand at the balcony of a 3rd floor apartment if the railing is too low. Or it is just iron railing right to the floor I would not venture anywhere close. Standing at the edge, I felt like I was going to topple over.

But Tim...... how do you overcome or get used to it? I need to overcome this fear, as recently I am required to climb up the scaffolds of a building in construction to check on the works. The last time I climbed, I was going 'OMG OMG OMG' as I stood up there just 15 ft on a wobbly platform (well, it was wobbly to me anyway laugh laugh My friend had no problem though)!!! It is going to be 20 ft next time I climb....and my heart is already pounding with just the thought!!

Trust me when i say you will get used to going up the scaffolding that much, that your confidence will grow a little each time you do and if it gets higher also you won't even think of it. It's just best to put it out your head and carry on as if you were still on the ground. You'll see after a while it doesn't matter if it's 15 ft, 50 ft, 100 ft or the near 1000 ft, that i was up? You'll conquer that fear, no problem!! flowerforyou

Not much freaks me out. I am a social worker. I have seen or heard just about everything.

Oh got one. Bed bugs! I instantly spray my self down with alcohol if they are mentioned at work.

I really really hope so.....I always get laughed at when I am standing there and holding on for dear life to something....anything!! LOL!

However, someone there did point out to me how and where to climb....so, going to put that to the test next round! Thanks for the vote of confidence, Tim!
