The death penalty ... this is not a ? of how... but will say this I would rather be shot then fried in a electric chair ...if I had the choice ...

alright so someone killed someone flat out murder ...
do you feel they should be in for life or have the death penalty...
and if they have taken a automatic plea of insanity they go to health physicality for that...but the murder should get life no parole ...

I don't understand our justice system ... when those that rape kill children kill ...someone point blank kills and some very hard core killings ... why would there even be a trial ... except insanity or guilty...we don't seem to put very many to death ...

so why even have that ... life in prison no parole... sure we have to pay for them to be in there with taxes ... but better to have them off the streets ... and all the plea deals that are done ...

if they murdered someone they should go to jail for life ... some are getting some really low sentencing for murder ...less then twenty yrs what is that ... they killed someone they should have no life out side the system ...

can they bring that person back they killed no ... so it makes me frustrated that they can get off sometimes for time spent ... that is not justice ... that's pay a fine and go ... this is why now I do not agree with... our justice sentanceing ...

In murder cases ,the circumstances & situations are so vivid & different that there can be no single & unique punishment justifiable.

e.g : If the Criminal/attacker got killed by the really innocent or probable victim during self defence.....it is also termed as murder, but the death sentence for him will be totally injustice.

There really should be an express lane to the death chamber.

I understand all the self defense laws prashant01 I am mainly talking about the ones that are cold blooded murders ... an no guess who done it or why ... an Rock feel the same but they put them on death row and then some can appeal ... we have to get rid of the appeal stage for any kind of justest for murder I feel ... that is what is wrong with our system you murder abusive a child or adult... you are their for life ... not many states have the death penalty anyway ... an in part a joke when they can appeal ...

how would the lawyers make money if there were no trials/appeals? don't forget, 90% of congress are lawyers...

the matter of proving who and why and the potential for error makes me and many others hesitant to just automatically give a death penalty

as well as the fact that almost all other western countries have banned it

I feel it would be more vindictive than anything and that two wrongs dont make a right,,,,

In my opinion, premeditated murder deserves the death penalty. If you take the time to plan and carry out a murder, you deserve to die for that.

Other type murders could also warrant this sentence depending on the circumstances.

In my opinion. lethal injection is the most humane way as long as it is carried out correctly.

humane... i don't think the murder was to worried about being humane when they killed, so why should the courts?

Neither do I.. and there have been many cases where my first reaction to a horrendous murder was to think..." just put a bullet in his head".. as most everyone else.

But the task at hand ( execution) is to complete the task.. which is to end the persons life, which in my opinion should be done without lowering ourselves to the mindset of the animal we are putting to death
