sorry I have a different opinion of the rest of you. since I was a child boys picked on me, bullied me and tried to beat me up after class. As I grew up Men did the same thing. I have never had a good man. All men have ever done, was bully, beat, lie, cheat and disrespect me. Never once did I receive any love from the opposite sex. I am trying to find my first love. Hope I get it sometime in my life. How can you expect someone to love you or for you to love someone if you don't love yourself who said I didn't love myself. I only talked about the boys and men in my life not about me. sos please learn how to read and comprehend. thanks |

Awww man now there is nothing sexier than a man in the kitchen..... love men that can cook.. Not saying I don't cook for I can and do.. But hate to say it I taught my son to cook and he can sooooo out cook me by far. The men that I know that cooks normally can out cook the women in the kitchen and on the grill...  I learnt how to cook from being around women & also lived with them & learnt it from them. I took it further & learnt more when i owned an Italian Restaurant Wow I'm impressed.... you have done well for your age.. It is funny for most of the men in my family/friends all cook I love it... Just less I have too hehehe... Thanks... but in all honesty im still a bit behind coz my friends are slightly ahead of me in Terms of success....i had it all but messed up by drinking & the fast life & chasing after women & i tripped & fell & lost it all ....Its a stage in a mans life many have been through....but luckily i got it all back & this time i'm older, wiser & smarter & not messing up my life |

he's there and puts your needs before his. ZIPPY hasn't been feeling great because if the treatment he's undergoing. yet when he heard we're having trouble with our well he offered to drive the hour and a half to come fix it. I told him no because I want him to take care of himself. my mom said tell him focus on him right now and come down here for happy reasons. so I sent him the message and he replied 'mom it's the pleasure knowing the mother of a princess'. she replied that must make her the queen. he replied yes she is and he wants to honor her daughter (me). that's beautiful that not only does he think of me but earns her respect as well. |

Reasons to appreciate men....hmmmm...geez....men are awesome in so many ways...would take too long for me to write all my reasons...so I will just stick with....cause they just are special...

I appreciate men because of their differences. In all aspects of life I have found that when you team men and women up you get the best possible outcome. I appreciate that men teach me to look at things from their aspect... therefore I see things more clearly. And maybe they get clarity from us. Men are awesome!

Nice topic. After seeing all the hating on either sex its nice to read one putting forward all the good things men can and should be. I am on board with this and most of these posts are very sweet and sincere and I hope you all find what you want and deserve.

neither sex should be revered until they prove it's warranted... guys are mostly douches, and women are mostly just plain batchit crazy... I agree with both genders are equally important and 1 not better than the other. I don't agree with the mostly parts though lol, but there are some whack a doos out there on both sides....and I usually attract the looney tune men  It is interesting that you think you attract the crazy men, but believe most of them are good. Why not look into the possibility that you are being too hard on yourself and giving the majority of men too much credit? |

another reason to appreciate men is because without them, we wouldn't be here. if you're a mom who loves your children, you may want to appreciate that a man helped make the beautiful child you have. so lots of love goes to all the dads out there. special appreciation for those who are step dads like mine was. because you choose to love us step children as your own.  Why would a single mom appreciate a man just for helping to make a baby? You do know what's involved with their 'help' and the burden that becomes the mother's right? Is it help or is it hurt? Being a dad can be nothing more than a one night stand. |

I am still friends with all of my exes (except the last one) Just because he was a nightmare doesn't mean I hold that against all men.
It's sad to me that a topic meant to be appreciative and have some fun can get twisted. I would feel the same in the appreciate women topic if someone turned that upside down. Even if all of my exes are horrible, doesn't mean I can't appreciate men. I have a son, dad, family and male friends that are awesome SHAME
