I see Mingle has a forum exclusively for Indians, not for Chinese, Arabs, Germans or Mexicans. That may be because India has a larger English speaking population. Say 10% of our 1.2 billion, that's nearly one third of the entire USA population.

I also see profiles where the Mingle ladies vehemently declare: ‘we are not a ticket to the USA’. Now that to me sounded something like buyer’s remorse and therefore this post.

Maybe the ladies do not relish vegetarians and their curries. You see curries are made of spices and herbs. They also function as preservatives. It’s a traditional diet from the days before electricity and refrigerators. Now imagine having preservatives for b’fast, lunch and dinner. Something’s got to give.

Or maybe the ladies did not prefer a secondary role; roles of a housewife since Indians prefer their wives to sit at home and take care of the kids.

Or maybe, ha ha; the ladies prefer the Viking gods. After all a deer however swift is no match to the lions. That’s natural.

But on the plus side, American technology is powered by the cream of Indians from IIT and such class institutes. A small percentage of the healthcare professionals are Indians. Indian music, Ravi Shankar, Fusion; small businesses and so on. What I mean is, it’s a good bet that the Indian will stay long after the initial attraction has fizzled out of wedlock. He will pay the alimony if things don’t work out; its not in them to abandon their kids. And so on.

So ladies now that it’s out in the open; the question is why not? After all the US is facing a gender crisis with 51% of the American population being women.

I have an engineering degree and work in software. No one in the industry would refer to Indians as "creme" (i am assuming you are referring to cream of the crop). They hire them because they are cheap.

As for curry, I find it delicious.

frustrated It is a date site.
Women want men that live near them for real dates. And the more things they have in common... religion, politics, education, food... the better.
Besides.. women know what they like & who they are attracted too, just like men do.
People put things on their profile so they don't waste their time or anyone else's.

I work in network engineering, I've met some Indians in the IT field whi were REALLY bad, I've also met a few that are REALLY good. ...but same with every other race as well.

I will say that the country(India) as a whole is a genius when it comes to marketing they've managed to create a perception that EVERY Indian is a genius at computers, unfortunately when companies normally find out this isn't the case, they've already sponsored a visa and it's cheaper to keep and train them at that point

since the original question seems to be essentially why doesn't everyone want to date a group of people?

for some it's about looks and seeking certain pre defined qualities.

for many it's a matter of how well ideals mesh.

being someone born in one country and raised in another, there are certainly things that take effort to find a happy middle ground.

in a relationship between completely different cultures, there would be so many elements to juggle that it would make it difficult to judt enjoy.

as for reasons why I would ignore people while I was still searching, the first is I don't date kids. many of the messages I received from the other side of the world (multiple countries) were from young kids who just don't understand that's not my preference.
a simple and polite decline wasn't enough. their rudeness brought it to the point I just ignore.

people who have different religious beliefs is a big divisive factor. monotheism vs polytheism would be a constant debate.

while I respect other people's beliefs, I want the man in my life to share a similar belief system.

the list goes on.

essentially, we each have a pretty good idea of what we hope for.

there's no reason anyone should have to explain why they aren't interested in someone

"Even sweet heart went off topic: ‘India being the Rape Capital of the World’; but in a way ok, let me explain.

The reality here is over population, congestion and the 10% of the people who get away harassing women. I’m not even going to try and defend that but you can imagine how worried people and parents are for their daughters and so on.

It’s not about respect for women in society because we had elected a lady prime minister who later was instrumental to the liberation of Bangladesh."
*
Apparently Sir, the other [Very Disturbing] reality is that India suffers from is a shockingly high Female Infanticide Ratenoway :
*
"In India the constraint is mostly economic. Daughters will require a sizable financial dowry in order to marry. Because daughters leave their families of origin, they are often regarded as temporary members of their families and a drain on its wealth. There is an expression in India that “bringing up a daughter is like watering a neighbor’s plant” (Anderson & Moore, 1993)."
*
Rather than worry about whether American women like curry or the population ratio of women to men in the USA; perhaps India's efforts/concerns should be on keeping Indian female infants alive & well so in your Country, there would not be a shortage of available women for the male population of India?huh

I'm really not attracted to Indians and I hate curries. Major drawback of going to a restaurant with friends in the UK: everyone always want to have curry. I can't eat it, my body will go in shock if I would, haha. Then try getting something else in a curry restaurant!!! First they look at you as if you're from another planet, then they probably have to get something else in from another restaurant, as they don't have it. Meaning by the time everyone's finished their curries, you finally get your food...

Anyway, no Indian for me, not the food, not the men.
Don't think we have many Indians over here either.

You think people are ignorant?
Let's be honest here, India has a big problem.
India is the Rape Capital of the World.
Rape and violence on women have now reached an epidemic proportion in India.
India's men must learn to respect India's women.

Rape and violence against women are a massive problem in India. According to the country's National Crime Record Bureau, crimes against women have increased by 7.1 percent since 2010. The number of rapes reported has also risen. Nearly one in three rape victims in India is under the age of 18. One in 10 are under 14. Every 20 minutes in India, a woman is raped.

And yet India only ranks third for the number of rapes reported each year. What country ranks first? The United States. In India, a country of over 1.2 billion people, 24,206 rapes were reported in 2011. The same year in the United States, a nation of 300 million, 83,425 rapes were reported. In the United States, every 6.2 minutes a woman is raped.

//Source:-http://www.more.com/news/india-rape-capital-world

It looks like Rape and Domestic violence against woman is a global issue..and it can only be solved when we men from all over the world will change our mind set and start respecting women.

A humble request to all--being an Indian i know our strenghts and weaknesses and we all Indians are trying to get rid of such problems because this is the place where our families live and we surely dnt want any harm happen to them.
so, please do not say something against any country or religion until u know the facts.
thank you. have a nice life ahead.

your % only show reported rape,,as you said only 10% of rape is reported in india, that would make your country pass the US 1000 times over,,thats that facts !!!!!

That would make the figures around 2.4 million rapes in India then. Mind boggling.

Seems India has another "unique" custom.
It was reported in the media throughout the
1990s, that when some Indian men were done
with their Indian women...
The men would disfigure the women,
by throwing acid in their faces.
