Don't you all see what's happening here? We are being set up for a police state. The abuse of power escalates deliberately --> setting up the people to fight back --> the power abusers cry that they need to beef up their control --> police state. The game
works and we play right into their hands. Psychological warfare. Men, people are really stupid sheep. The powerful have us exactly where they want us, hanging by the b a lls. The masses are so easy to manipulate and control. We think we are one up on them. It's the other way around. They are always 2 steps ahead of us and sinisterly laughing their heads off. Depressing.

VA VA VA VOOOM SassyEuro2...Tri Chic that new avatar; very Audrey Hepburn like!

BTW --- WTH happened to your post count; why are you back at #1?

I deleted my account the day we KNEW here in Maryland) that the RIOTS would start. It was common knowledge. That was THREE days before the thread went up. This is my new aaccount.

Baltimore is hell, I lived their briefly 3yrs ago. I only traveled in a 2 block radius. I was the 'new minority' & am a woman... Just is not safe at all.
I wouldn't live there again for all the money in the world. And I don't know anyone that would... any color.

It has the 1st or 2nd highest murder rate in the country. Cencus says, 620,000+ people. A black city, run by blacks, a black woman mayor and at least 75% of the city council is black), with a black police force & almost all black fireman & emergency crews.

Last 2 nights- fighting, property damage, fires, taunting police physically & verbally. And in the MORNINGS - looting. (yes, in the early mornings),

And that mayor...(a black woman) she is in way over head. And her comment as far as the thugs.. " let them destroy "speaks for itself.
After all the thugs & the so called protesters will not be paying to rebuild it. The FEW taxpayers that have NOT left YET will. But I'm sure there will be some time of aid or bailout... & then the city officials can go back to begging 'working people/ taxayers.. ' to MOVE back to Baltimore, just like Philadelphia, Chicago ,NewYork & other Metropolitan cites have (for years).

oh wow, now we know the first city to be corralled into FEMA camps.

Im wondering why the mention of race here?

we send aid to rebuild other countries, we should rebuild our own areas when they meet disaster

its a matter of forcing to choose between the lesser of evils,, the expense of better trained police force, or the expense of rebuilding

I don't agree with looting or rioting, I do see that it may get more of a response than just 'peaceful' protest seemed to be inspiring,,,

well, we cant really pay for less crime

so the police force will have to be trained to do their job in a way that leads to it,,,,

I agree, it is a multi layered issue, the community must work together

but police are TRAINED and PAID and therefore need to be held accountable too

"Why the mention of race here?"
Because it is the TRUTH from someone who knows. who lives here. who is not on an alphabet network promoting a PC liberal political agenda. .And for all the overseas people who may be mislead that "innocent black children" are being slaughtered... HELL NO.. Criminals who resit arrest or flee (armed with a weapon or not), are placing THEMSELVES & others in danger. And police for the most part, are doing there job,& have the right to defend themselves, property & society.
The rioters. & the people who put out " The CAll " to " PURGE, on social media, are subject to having consequences for their criminal/ thug behavior.. just like everyone else. So... where is there ' home training '? smokin
Baltimore didn't "meet with disaster"... the residents created it themselves & destroyed their own city.

so you are supportive of killing people because they resist or run,,,

I really have no response except how sad,,,

and truth still doesn't answer the reason for sharing a factoid,,, there is usually a point to which 'truth' we choose to interject into the discussion

Im just wondering the point of interjecting a racial component to the discussion?

The police are trained and the bad ones kicked out but they can't train for every type of encounter they face. Less crime would lessen those encounters and police would not have to enforce the law as often.

they can and do train on restraining and arresting,, which seems to be the issue with those opting for a death penalty instead of more reasonable capture/restraint techniques,,

I answered your question why?
I'm not going to sugar coat it or pretend that race isn't imperative to the discussion. Just to make you feel better. People either know the truth or want it. If you don't..... that is sad.

Is race ONLY an issue when people scream "racism " loud enough, or have a political party or riot ? Or a black leader, black pastor or black anchorperson says it is? No, of course not. laugh Like small town, Ferguson Missouri.? Geez.. who is paying for that " falling on disaster"?
Not the criminals. Not the majority of black citizens on 3-5 generations of welfare. Not the taxpayers who left or the business owners (white & Asian) who's stores were burned.

Police: Everyone knows or should know, when they have the right to use deathly force.
I'm not going to make excuses for ANYONE'S bad behavior, cops or criminals.

*Btw- this incident also has 15+ cops injured, some unresponsive & 4 journalist were beaten. I'm going to go feel sorry for them now & their Innocent families.
The night is young. I'm sure there will be more *

Agree, and citizens should learn that resisting arrest can have some nasty and negative results.

Yes, we can pay for less crime. bigsmile
I will, if accepted by the Baltimore p.d.,
donate two boxes of .45 calibre ammunition
to them.

Two boxes of ammunition, means the potential
for 100 less criminal/thugs stealing my oxygen.

See? We can pay for less crime.

I think the guy trotted off because he didn't want to be hassled by the police which ironically resulted in him being hassled by the police and subsequently killed.

Over zealous policing? Since no crime was witnessed by police, and no crime had been reported in the area, I would view it as such. Barring some "secret knowledge" there was no reason to interact with this man. If he jogged off, so what? Let him go.

What is evident is that this type of b.s. policing incites riot. And many of you are correct, we are all expendable and are being conditioned.

Who is most susceptible by the "step out of line/the man come/and take you away" threat? People with something to lose.

Who is easiest to lure into being your "example to others"? People with little or nothing to lose.

So if race plays any role it is by contrivance.

alot of ASSumptions there,, I will leave you to them, as I have no interest in such nonsense

but here are a few more 'truths':

1.thugs are thugs ,whether they are cops or citizens, blacks or whites

2.thug citizens are held accountable, thug cops have not been

3. there is plenty of research about the DISPARITY in how black thugs are treated compared to white thugs though

which is a particular craw in the pants of the black demographic that suffered oppression and injustice for the MAJORITY of Americas history and rightfully have a concern about things returning to how they have MOSTLY been,,,

4.the only death penalty crime we have in america is murder,, not thievery, running, or resisting arrest

5. crime has happened regardless of racial population

6. Crime is more prevalent in areas which are more highly impoverished

7. 27.2 percent of blacks live in poverty, compared to 9.7 percent of whites

8. white households have 13 times the wealth of black households

so, though its always appreciated to share 'truth',, lets include as much of the 'whole truth' as possible,, even our courts distinguish between the two

They are getting ready to spend about $60 million rebuilding the Inner Harbor.

They spent $305 million on a Hilton Hotel that made no money.

The 752-room, city-owned Hilton Baltimore hotel opened in August 2008, connected to the convention center by an enclosed skywalk bridge. Another expansion to the Baltimore Convention Center has been proposed at an estimated cost of $400 million that includes a new 500 room hotel and an 18,500 seat arena; this project is estimated to cost $900 million.

So what do you think now?

This is the City Government doing this... Keep that in mind..

anyhow, it was someone else who interjected race into this discussion,, the reason given was 'truth' and was followed with what were actually assumptions and not truth

I was replying to that person
