Now they are reporting that another prisoner in the vehicle with Freddie Gray says that he was "throwing himself against the wall"..

Hurting himself purposely...WTF?....

my thoughts too. wanting to be part of the story maybe?

A prisoner sharing a police transport van with Freddie Gray told investigators that he could hear Gray “banging against the walls” of the vehicle and believed that he “was intentionally trying to injure himself,” according to a police document obtained by The Washington Post.

he saw squat and 'believes' freddie tried to hurt himself because of what he heard,,,,,, divided by a metal partition, even though the transport cops weren't aware enough of the noise to have considered this when they stated they had no idea what happened,,

Seems as if all of these rioters don't understand the innocence of all the cops in each situation? What is going on?...

msharmony's photo

probably experience,,,,,not all cops in every community interact with the citizens with professionalism or respect

the fact that he was even chased simply because of choosing to run,,that he was asking for help BEFORE he was put in the van.....people are upset that citizens lives aren't valued more

But, they are also upset because they believe these cops are all guilty...and THAT is what is causing the destruction...of so many lives and businesses..it's so sad. And so unnecessary....

it is sad, it is unnecessary, they do believe the cops are guilty of indifference to human life

kind of like the wife of a cheating husband , when he comes home one morning swearing he wasn't out screwing around,, even if he happens to be truthful on that one occasion,, most wives have reason to suspect that history is repeating itself

They believe it, but it's not true.

noone knows except the cops and the dead man

Yea, nice to know there are so few incidences of deaths, too bad so much focus is place on so few.

msharmony's photo

how many should their be before it garners attention or correction?

glad to see SOME focus to at least start addressing the issue of poorly trained officers that are taking lives instead of protecting them

alot of ASSumptions there,, I will leave you to them, as I have no interest in such nonsense

but here are a few more 'truths':

1.thugs are thugs ,whether they are cops or citizens, blacks or whites

2.thug citizens are held accountable, thug cops have not been

3. there is plenty of research about the DISPARITY in how black thugs are treated compared to white thugs though

which is a particular craw in the pants of the black demographic that suffered oppression and injustice for the MAJORITY of Americas history and rightfully have a concern about things returning to how they have MOSTLY been,,,

4.the only death penalty crime we have in america is murder,, not thievery, running, or resisting arrest

5. crime has happened regardless of racial population

6. Crime is more prevalent in areas which are more highly impoverished

7. 27.2 percent of blacks live in poverty, compared to 9.7 percent of whites

8. white households have 13 times the wealth of black households

so, though its always appreciated to share 'truth',, lets include as much of the 'whole truth' as possible,, even our courts distinguish between the two

Hhhaaaa. .
I will keep THE truth (about what what I posted... you just don't like it . And perhaps you can not believe I said it.. Maybe you thought nobody knew, or would dare to say it)

.... and I raise the (now) ASSumptions about people who 'play the race card' & "pity me card " or " you should feel like a guily parent & give me stuff card "
..... whenever they don't want to be accountable & behave like children having a temper tantrum.
... Grow up people, the world, the government & people who have more than you, don't own you anything.! Work for it, like most of our ancestors did, who came here with nothing.
.... Respect - earn it.

the truth is great,, the whole truth is better

wealth and poverty are seperate issues from earning money,, money is a factor but people with money still are impoverished and lack wealth,, the differencs in these subjects is something for another thread

but impoverished areas are more likely to be riddled with crime, those with little to lose tend to be open to more risky behavior

and poverty is relevant to AMERICAN history as it pertains to the differences between the black demographic and the white one,,

which is inevitably what was being implied when pointing out the disparity in violent crime,,,

I just shared more truth,, respect THATlaugh

Let's see.. KNOWN Criminal (25yrs +), running from a cop, or trotting or skipping & singing the Barney song laugh IS A CRIME & IS EVADING ARREST , another crime, & IS INTERFERING WITH A CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION, another crime.... equals use of deadly force, by LAW.

* Not to mention, incredibly foolish & self defeating or just suicidal as opposed to more jail time *

lol, actually its not, since he was not under arrest or being threatened with arrest,,,

he was not in the process of a criminal act, and merely made 'eye contact
,,but nice try

and you may be ok with deadly force as penalty for running, but I like our system where the only excuse for the justice system to impose a death penalty is for those convicted of murder,,,

Sorry, you certainly didn't earn any respect there... happy
Blacks are not the ONLY group to suffer persecution in this country but many seem to think they are.
And some think it is 1960-1970 when TRUE injustice was prevalent.
Dr MLK Jr must be rolling over in his grave.

More excuses for bad behavior.

give me another example of a group that was persecuted and oppressed for HUNDREDS of years in america under the protection of the law from the moment they were born into the world,, based on their ancestral history?

Im waiting on baited breath here,,...lol

its not about excuse for bad behavior its about accountability for deadly behavior,, even if the one engaged in it is wearing a uniform,,,

Your words " because he choose to run "

Yea .. that's what * cough * innocent people do.... run from police when they " make eye contact "

since when does evading arrest or interfering with a police investigation constitute deadly force? i thought that constitutes arrest?

It is accountability & consequences for our actions. And the distintion between citizens & criminals & the police job to -protect & serve. * that does not mean spare a criminal *

And they are called NATIVE AMERICAN/ ORIGINAL PEOPLE

Ya know... long before slavery..
