It would be interesting to know what those controlled substances are. If he was jazzed up on Meth it would have been a hard take down for the cops. People on Meth and PCP are hard as hell to take into custody and put up one hell of a fight. The few times I have gotten hurt were from fisticuffs with a tweaker.

people run from what they perceive as danger,, and cops can be just as dangerous as any thug on the street in some areas,,,

they can be tired, and the justice system will persecute 'black people rioting' when they do so

If there is no reason to hold them accountable then it is BS. It is impossible to know what happened at this point. Clearly you have no god damn clue how a case like this is investigated, and it takes more then a week or two. An outside agency, say if it happened here in Nevada and the Carson City Sheriff's Department were in this mess the NDI (Nevada Division of Investigation) and State Attorney General's Office would handle the investigation and it usually takes at least a month.

Not to mention the last few times this happened your boy Obama's people have cleared the officers involved.

Despite Baltimore being basically the murder capital of the world. The African American population has impressed me the most. The African American population stood up against its own ethnicity to protect the city as much as possible against the violence as well as creating the violence. I say way to go Baltimore during this war, they took a stand to protect the people of law enforcement as well.

They should be outraged for very different reasons than what has been happening in Baltimore lately. Change needs to come from within that community, a life is equally important regardless of who took it.

Over the last decade police departments across the country have been steadily increasing their firepower, while their jobs have actually gotten LESS dangerous.

A new report put out by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, highlights that 2013 has had the “Lowest Level of Law Enforcement Fatalities in Six Decades” and the fewest officers killed by firearms since 1887!

In fact cops don’t even rank in the top 10 most dangerous jobs in the country according to The Bureau of Labor Statistics.

What exactly is more dangerous than being a cop? For starters, a trash collector is twice as likely to die on the job versus a cop, fishing is 7 times more dangerous than being a cop, and logging workers, nearly 9 times more dangerous.

The majority of police deaths are not as a result of violence in the line of duty either, most have occurred accidentally rather than feloniously. Most police officers die, not in some heroic high speed pursuit of a child murderer, but in routine traffic accidents.
So why the rush to militarization? Why are police departments nationwide receiving armored personnel carriers and 18 ton Armored Vehicles from the Iraq war, equipped with gun turrets?

What is causing law enforcement to escalate to violence first and not even ask questions later? It is certainly not because they are facing more danger now than in the past.

How many of us have heard the idiom, “I have to” use such aggressive force, “so I can make it home to my family”? Well what about the innocence slain that will never be with their families again?
