 funny, but sadly all too true. This is ridiculous. This does not describe cops at all....C'mon...  maybe its ridiculous to you, seems like reality to me. thats a funny pic but trust me im sure theres some cops out there that actually think like that. like the 8 cops that beat a homeless schizophrenic man to death on camera for 15 mintues? all while hes screaming for his dad as theyre holding him down beating him to death. please lady you got too much faith in cops. cops are the reason we are having this discussion in the first place. or then theres the homeless guy who cops gunned down with an assault rifle as he turned away from them because he had a pocket knife in his hand. he was a good 20 feet away from them and they shot him multiple times with an assault rifle, then shot him with bean bags and then let a police dog attack his dead body, all on camera. so how ridiculous is it? i can go on and on about police brutality because its all on video. theres no refuting it. not every single cop in this country is bad, but most of these a holes get a gun and a badge and feel like they can do whatever they want because theres never any accountability for them. And they are certainly held accountable when they are actually guilty. The recent events involving black men being killed by cops are proving that these cops were innocent. So explain what is going on? There is NO common sense left anymore.... actually, these protests are sparked because the officers are NOT held accountable,, some authority somewhere comes up with some excuse and possibly a paid leave and thats it, some authority declaring them not guilty does not mean they are actually innocent and people are tiring of the 'cops always justified' attitude that is allowing human lives to be ended over petty crimes,,,, |

probably experience,,,,,not all cops in every community interact with the citizens with professionalism or respect the fact that he was even chased simply because of choosing to run,,that he was asking for help BEFORE he was put in the van.....people are upset that citizens lives aren't valued more Let's see.. KNOWN Criminal (25yrs +), running from a cop, or trotting or skipping & singing the Barney song IS A CRIME & IS EVADING ARREST , another crime, & IS INTERFERING WITH A CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION, another crime.... equals use of deadly force, by LAW. * Not to mention, incredibly foolish & self defeating or just suicidal as opposed to more jail time * lol, actually its not, since he was not under arrest or being threatened with arrest,,, he was not in the process of a criminal act, and merely made 'eye contact ,,but nice try and you may be ok with deadly force as penalty for running, but I like our system where the only excuse for the justice system to impose a death penalty is for those convicted of murder,,, Your words " because he choose to run " Yea .. that's what * cough * innocent people do.... run from police when they " make eye contact " no, sassy euros may not but people in areas that have reason not to trust the police in that area , may do just that, as fast as they would run from any other situation where a thug has a gun and is eyeing them Apparantly, you're not allowed to call them "thugs" now, either? thats as silly as saying you must call them thugs because some soundbyte makes the rounds of someone using the term call them whatever you want,,its not really relevant to the discussion, |

I have faith in human kind when I see that people know what's right from wrong and are not afraid to say it even when they could get backlash. :) I agree, its wrong to steal its wrong to kill(unless in immediate fatal danger) its wrong to abuse authority to mistreat or abuse others,,, its foolish to run, but not 'wrong',, unless you run after an officer has requested your presence,,,, |

But the public,the black powers that be have every reason, NOT to trust the their citizens & criminals, who have proven for over 5 days that they can not be civilized. We don't have 5,000 National Guard here & (another 5,000 on back up - Thank you govenor.  & ) 500 (borrowed) State troopers & a 10pm- 5am curfew & countless schools & colleges & shops & buisness & bus routes closed down & 15+ wounded officers (some unresponsive) & 4 beaten journalist. And countless injuries & millions of dollars in property damage & man power..... And a President & Councilmen calling the rioters " thugs & " criminals"... . because they trust them & think feel sorry for them & make excuses for them. its not an assumption, its the name YOU CHOSE to describe yourself,,,smh there are thugs amongst those protesting who should be prosecuted, I never argued otherwise but I believe cops should also be prosecuted when they behave like thugs towards citizens,,,and not just excused due to their job title its just as ridiculous to tear up property because of unwanted reactions, as it is to kill an unarmed person for the same reason,,, |

I like some of his views like not making nurses train at uni just nurses college and stuff like that. America is supposed to be free but its not. if America is so great then why cant it look after its own people. it lets the police get away with murder, and it has backwards views when it comes to race. I read this story about two women one black one white, the black mother was homeless and left her children in the car for a short while so she could go to a job interview (obviously to stop being homeless) and the white woman was a druggie and left her kid on the roof of the car and drove of forgetting that the kid was there, I think someone stopped her. the black woman who was trying to get a better life for her and her children had her children taken away and got put in prison, the white woman was let go and given a warning. what kind of justice system is that. America the land of the free where all you have to do is work hard and you can get somewhere NOT!!!. |

Just for the record... institutionalized slavery in what is now the United States was implemented by your country. Also... Your country was prepared to back the Southern states during our civil war because your country was dependent on the cheap cotton they were getting from the use of slave labor. I'll agree with what you see via the media service, mom; there is a whole lot of hypocrisy shown and loads of biased slant to the news programs too! And you're quite right --- minorities in America get treated differently according to demographics/gender/age/race --- our society is just huge melting pot of really skewed/screwed up ways of jacking with people that come in full frontal view of the legal system! Precisely why the number of BLACKS in our penal systems are more than � black {in any given penitentiary in America}...even where the locations would be more Hispanic they ship the over crowded/over flow into those areas just to keep 'heads in beds' and the state funding spread around! No easy answers to all of our social issues - is there; and for our nation being so young --- we sure seem to keep making some redundant stupid mistakes --- kinda of like our wars! HUH LOL |

This rioting in the streets will just cause the governing bodies to make our lives more difficult with additional laws and ordinances that strip away even more of our dwindling liberty for "our safety".

So I think I missed a little something along the way. After a couple peaceful nights in a row, I'm now hearing these stats on the news that there were supposedly 100 injured cops in Baltimore?
I'm pretty sure I recall on Tuesday that there were less than 20 injured. Now after a couple 'quiet' nights and the presence of National Guard troops, somehow 80 more cops got injured? Also seeing news stories to generate PR for the cops, about how 'cops are people too', and 'just want to go home at the end of their shifts'. I'm thinking maybe someone lowered the threshold for 'injured' to make these confrontations seem more violent than they actually were. Either that or are trying to set up the conditions to justify injury claims for early retirement packages, or long term medical expenses. I don't deny many cops were hurt badly, but I just can't square up the stories now, and the circumstances of relative calm that more than quadrupled the number of injured. Theories people? |

Correction:
I stated in previous posts here, that 15 cops were serious injured & 4 journalist. It is actually FIVE journalist. Two or three police officers are still hospitalized. 1- CNN photo journalist 2- Baltimore Sun photographer 3- Washington Post writer 4-Baltimore news reporter 5- Baltimore news cameraman.
