One of the most general question but demand honesty. How much you appreciate your present life? Show guts only. Please!

How much you appreciate your present life?

Not nearly as much as I appreciated my life when I was 6-10 months old and had every immediate desire handed to me.
Someone else wiped me, changed me, fed me, clothed me, people looked at me with absolute love and joy, I could lay in bed for hours, point and yell and make noise without being self conscious about it, I could run around as much as I wanted to, I didn't have to worry about a job, the doctor, war, politics, my future, my retirement, anything at all but my mom disappearing behind her hands and jumping out at me occasionally.

I appreciate my life far more than I will in about 30-50 years when I can't appreciate anything at all.

So...somewhere between those two.
Not as much as when I was a baby, far more than when I'm dead.

If I just said "I appreciate my life a lot!" that really wouldn't tell you anything.

There has to be some manner of comparison or measurement for my subjective judgment to make sense to you.

I'm with you there Datwasntme. Life was better when I wasn't single. The trouble with being single is that you can get used to it.This in turn can, I guess, make you a little 'selfish', as there is nobody else to consider. Maybe one day, all that will change for me. Who knows?

I would not call what I have a life. It's more like an existence.

We all feel that way sometimes. Especially when there is so much to enjoy if you have a person to share it with.

I love being alive. Some days are more full of good feelings than others, but that's probably what makes me appreciate the better days. "Being Alive" are the key words. Just breathing is not what it's about. There's so much more involved. Overall, I'm watching for opportunities to enrich my experiences and life. Maybe it's about the experience and making it interesting and worth the time involved.

Unfortunately, I'm not appreciating the present, as much as I wish I could. This is because certain people in my personal life, are making me wonder whether they're worth being around, anymore. One of them promised me that he'd visit me. It's been several months since I saw him. He hasn't once bothered to visit. It's mainly been me visiting him. It feels so one-sided. I'm not sure how I can ever appreciate THAT. He used to be so clingy to me.

Pretty well...no matter how good or bad things may be at present, life is always a thing to be thankful for..and it always takes guts to be appreciative and move forward.

A related question I used to think was "Whether I had become What I wanted to be?"

I used to think a so so answer to that..... in terms of my profession.

But a more holistic answer, I feel now is - One should appreciate one's life if he is able to pay back, and actually paying back to his family, society and surrounding what he has got from them while growing up.

The pay back can be in the forms of love, care, services, money...

Yes, I appreciate my life
