We still take a dump the same way. We just changed WHERE. :-) So no evolving has really taken place in terms of biological function.

I stand by my original post here.

I agree, its a natural instinct for a man to sow his seeds far and wide.

yep, and men SOW in different places too,, namely ONE place

'natural', in terms of behaviors, is not hard wired,, we still choose them

and we constantly grow and evolve in the manner in which we choose,,

Let me refer you to failed relationships and high case of divorce rates and people on their 2nd, 3rd and 4th marriages and beyond. And children with 3 or more different partners. Evolving hey? The more things change, the more they remain the same.

I absolutely understand, dishonest pricks (and prickettes, as women are just as often the cheaters in these scenarios) will always exist,,

but isnt evidence of some 'natural' desire to be with as many people as possible

There is actually a cheating dating site for married people and others which has to date 38 million members and growing exponentially. A lot of people fit what I described. A lot.

I wonder what the ratio is of male to female members on that cheating dating site. I bet the overwhelming majority are male.

alot of people love guns too, doesnt mean its 'natural'

309 million people and counting in america,, they like different things,,,

not to mention what society and media promote play a big influence on what people find 'exciting' and what they are willing to do to have it,,

I wonder how high the cheating site membership will reach. It's in epidemic proportions. Let's put it this way. There are a lot of people who are unhappy with monogamy.

I could not care less what other people do in their bedrooms but for mine it is strickly faithful or not at all.... Now if someone wanted a threesome, or a couple switch etc I would be polite and say no thank you not get insulted. Just not my choice.

Debbie1980,

what...... are you saying as a man its our destiny to have more than one woman? no no, no, no, my friend you got it wrong that's the worlds standards not us men standards. yes some guys use that as an excuse to have more than lover but I don't think its all men thinking. How we explain the married ones that stay with a woman over 30 plus years....righhhttt.....lol

to my favorite minion Ms. Harmony,
what's up beautiful, I agree with the statement you mentioned about there's a lot people unhappy with monogamy, but my friend we have to have faith that monogamy is the way to go. I know this isn't your personal agreement with that but you got to call a spade a spade and the world isn't always round in cases like this. Sometimes, the world can be seen in a bubble and they're are folks that feel like I have to be a player, or don juan or whatever to maintain happiness. If you choose that way , okay good for you as long you breaking fragile hearts do that. But I'm team monogamy, I don't share my woman, I'm selfish about that. plus , I'm a little narcissism, I have to be the life of all parties and to share that with my woman is a great feeling like nothing like this world.

no im not, im just saying it's in a mans genetics to feel like that, its still no excuse to cheat and many men don't cheat, im just stating that's in a mans genetics.

like iam said, some men would secretly want more than one woman and I agree with that by my previous post. it doesn't mean all men act on it. its just instinct and naturally in a man, that's a biological fact.

Monogamy? You are all beautifully brainwashed by the social machine. Men like to spread their seed around. It is their natural state of being. Women are naturally faithful to ensure that they nurture and raise their young in a stable, safe environment. Of course, we do have the few exceptions to this rule but for the majority, that is the case. This is how biology ensures the perpetuation of the human species. With the overpopulation concerns, the dynamics have changed so that men are now discouraged from spreading their seed by the state established laws of child support. Nothing puts a freeze on the "spreading of the seed" male urge better than state enforced child support. Men are no longer so quick to have multiple children now that they are forced to take care of them financially. That cuts deep into their wallets. We have further emasculated the men in society from their natural urges by brainwashing them to have only one family, making polygamy illegal. This is another state strike against overpopulation. The enforcement of monogamous, one family units is a myth and a state lie. Look at the high divorce rates as proof. You cannot go against nature. You can only circumvent it and only for so long. These state enforced relationships have a short life span and when men do what is natural to their nature, it is labeled as cheating and they are made to feel bad and guilty. Secretly, men would love to have multiple wives or girlfriends and get away with it. Monogamy is not in the man's nature.

With that said, of course I want a monogamous relationship. That is being true to my nature as a female. And I would love a socially brainwashed monogamous man as my husband, although secretly he would love an open marriage or relationship. Too bad for him.

Here you take the "man with plural wives" scenario. I'm not sure this was the case. It may have been the case in an already patriarchal society, but we weren't created patriarchal ...
If I remember correctly, women had children form PLURAL men. Survival of the fittest... Meaning neither men and women were monogamous.
The theory of monogamous women and non-monogamous men doesn't work in a society either, cos there wouldn't be enough women around if they'd all remain to the one man.
Strongest off-spring was created by neither being monogamous, as that way you get the largest, strongest gene-pool possible.
