WARNING!! THIS IS A LONG READ: IF AND ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE TIME & THE INCLINATION I just figured out what in God's name is so irresistible with Mingle2 that I get tempted to check it at ungodly hours of my daily routine. DUH..THE FORUM..dumbass right  ? (Im just grateful, it did not take me 2 weeks to figure this one out  ) It all boils down to getting a DATE.. Had I wanted an immediate fling and any date will do, I will get a glass of Blackberry Merlot, click on the link 'show me more potential matches' and instant messaged someone interesting enough within 500 mile radius.. meet him in starbucks and see where it leads - naughty smile  ..BUT I DONT. I WANT A DATE I CAN RESPECT, WHO CAN APPRECIATES ME DESPITE MY BEING ME AND SHARES THE SAME PASSION WITH THE THINGS I AM PASSIONATE WITH! That being said..HERE I AM IN THE FORUM. At first glance and first pass (like you are jogging in an oval and you are on your first lap) THE FORUM IS A SNOBBISH EXCLUSIVE CLUB OF WANNABEES. Makes me re think of the 'WHY I AM HERE'.. LOL SO FORUM IT IS THEN. I have to actually take time to read posts of people that caught my interest.. After a while..I DONT EVEN HAVE TO READ BETWEEN THE LINES.. WHAT I FOUND OUT IS: IF YOU STRIPPED THE POST OF ITS PSYCOBABBLE DEFENSE MECHANISM IF YOU STRIPPED THE POST OF ITS SARCASM IF YOU STRIPPED THE POST OF ITS DRY WIT IF YOU STRIPPED THE POST OF IT BEING CATTY OR EVEN ENDEARING INSINUATION IF YOU STRIPPED THE POST OF THE DECORATIVE SMILEYS AND LOL (guilty as charge on this) GUESS WHAT YOU FOUND OUT?! Individuals like everyone else..:) SEARCHING FOR KINDRED SPIRIT WHO JUST WANTS TO BE APPRECIATED OF THEIR BEING WHO THEY ARE.. catch is, most of them have been here for quite sometime now, thus along the way of their search, they forged bonds and friendships here in the forum. (Which is kind of actually sweet if you dig on those things) IT ACTUALLY MAKES YOU RETHINK OF YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION  THEY ACTUALLY GROW ON YOU BELIEVE IT OR NOT.  BUT HEY! IM HERE FOR THE DATE RIGHT? I cant second guess on their motives but I KNOW WHAT I WANT:) That being said, what MAKES ME CONFIDENT AND COMFORTABLE IN MY OWN SKIN IS I KNOW WHAT I AM PASSIONATE OF. KNOWING WHAT I AM PASSIONATE OF GIVES ME THE POWER TO CHOOSE THE PEOPLE I WANT TO INTERACT WITH.. INSTEAD OF ME WAITING FOR THEM TO CHOOSE ME:) I can only explain that by way of concrete example: CHRONICLIAR75 is passionate of: CENTURY OLD OAK TREES, OLD TRUCKS OLD COFFEE TABLES OLD LEGENDARY HEAVYWEIGHT BOXERS(compared to what me & my father watched in the 90's when I was in High School ..yup..yup I was already in high school when we get around to owning a TV..Mayweather & Pacquiao are both whimps..and I dont mean it based on weight divisions.. you watch boxing to see fists flying not to witness juvenile bickering -MY OPINION. IF YOU WANT TO GIVE VIOLENT REACTIONS & NASTY UPPERCUTS..GO AHEAD I AM THOUSAND OF MILES AWAY FROM YOU..STILL FEELING SAFE ) OLD METAL ROCK BANDS AND THEIR MUSIC (To each of their own..music is a choice..an individual preference..if you dont like mine.. that doesnt mean I may not like yours ) OLD CITIES (let's not date, if you cant even respect ruins & old castles!) OLD CULTURE ANCIENT HISTORY HELL, I KNOW, I KNOW THEY ARE WAAAAAAAAY PAST MY TIME. SO WHAT? EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT IN MY GENERATION AND WAY PAST 1975.. IT IS THEIR BEING TIMELESS THAT MAKES THEM BEAUTIFUL. IT WHAT MAKES ME PASSIONATE OF THEM. It doesn't change a thing if I will be CHRONICSEX75, FASTORGASM75, LOVESZZ75ORAL, HONEST?DUH75, KICKASSSPINSTER75, OLDMAIDROCKER75.. IT DOESNT CHANGE A THING.. KNOWING WHAT I AM PASSIONATE OF, SAVES ME TIME AND EFFORT IN THE FORUM THOUGH ..IT IS FASTER FOR ME TO FILTER PEOPLE AND KNOW : WHO ARE THOSE WHO MAKES ME ROAR WITH LAUGHTER WHO ARE THOSE WHO MAKES ME SMILE WITH THEIR DRY WIT WHO ARE THOSE WHO MOVES ME IN AN UNEXPECTED WAYS WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT WHO ARE THOSE WHO MAKES ME SHAKE MY HEAD, ALBEIT BITTERSWEET SMILE WHO ARE THOSE I AM REALLY INTERESTED TO KNOW MORE That being said, I MAY OR MAY NOT FIND my date of a lifetime here (TIME WILL TELL) BUT THERE ARE COLD HOME TRUTHS IN THIS FORUM: After 12 days of being here I CAN WHOLEHEARTEDLY BOAST AND SAY THAT: (1ST) THIS FORUM HAS 1 OR 2 OR 3 GREAT REMARKABLE MINDS IN THE POLITICAL ARENA..dont take my word for it.. go ahead click on 'politics, current news & events'..It will make your day,if you dig on those savvy things:) Hell, one or two in there can give some of those idiots in the capitol a run for their money.. KERRY KILCANNON CHARACTER OF RICHARD NORTH PATTERSON AND MY BELOVED RICHARD "DICK" MARCINKO SOUNDS LIKE A BOY SCOUT COMPARED TO THOSE REMARKABLE MINDS IN THAT FORUM  (God! Did I just say that?
