Some of us are here strictly for the forums. How about a way to exclude your profile from searches? The constant bombardment of scammer messages and nudges is absurd.

You can do this by settings your mail filters to age 150 to 151 for example. Then you don't get anything unless you already sent a reply. Just pick different age numbers at least over 100. Check all the checkboxes and change distance. Whatever to make it harder too match up. Lol. If they crack it. Just change the age again to 133 to 134 for example.

Hope this makes sense. It stops all my mail immediately when I do it. Sometimes I'm not up to getting messages.

Cool beans. Thanks... It would make more sense if an "in a relationship" or "not looking" option in current status was available (and automatically excluded a profile from searches), but that'll work.

Upon reflection, the problem with the method suggested by tulip is it eliminates messaging from forum users who want to interact based on forum activity.

My goal is not to eliminate all contact, just the scammers who use searches to message randomly.

On another site,I had "not looking ", & was still bombarded.
But haveing a regional system, where people can set my country helped, like " USA " only.

At least here, we have unlimited blocks. Some sites don't, so people have to rotate their blocks/ dumps.

All in all, I message FEW people here now, & receive lots of friend requests & nudges.. those I read.
"Who viewed me ", I totally ignore & delete.

Again, I need to point out there is a way to not eliminate all contact, but not be included in searches which is how the majority of scammers find their targets.

Because the not looking didn't take you out of searches. I've been on sites where if you are in a relationship and list as such you are not included in searches.

Yeah that would be easiest for sure.

Yes it does, unfortunately. It's a fortress.

They can friend request you with a message when filters up . This I call the moat. They want in.

Since you live in Florida I feel the need to ask if there are any alligators in your moat...

I second this.
Surely there is a way?

I have the same problem as yourself. Even though I would like to meet a LOCAL lady around 50. I have been getting tons and tons of viewing from robots and girls somehow stuck in Nigeria or Ghana. It would be nice that Mingle could limit who views your profile. I mean only allow women who I would rally like to meet to see my profile, not some guy in Nigeria who stole a profile picture. For Pete's sake, if they want to use a bogus profile, at least learn how to write English. I know that there are tons of legitimate women under 30 that don't want some creepy old guy around my age viewing their profile and I imagine that they would upgrade to the Premium membership to censor unwanted advances. At least, it would be nice if Mingle could extend the filters to nudges and Matches as well.

I'm not sure if blocking an individual precludes them from viewing your profile. You should inquire about that. Frankly, I don't care who views me. We've created public profiles that the world can see and with that comes the good and bad. However, as was previously stated there are ways to filter who can e-mail you.

My wish is to have the ability to completely eliminate a profile from searches but not cut off all communication in the process.

All the suggestions are good but at this time the site is not taking any suggestions..

When and if they do they normally make a thread asking for suggestions..

At this time they are working on other issues they have been dealing with..

As far as who viewed you and limiting that I do not see them changing that feature...
