Anything over 42000 mi(the length of the circumference of the earth's equator) is too much. Anything under can be manageable.

I would only travel a long distance if and only if I was sure that it was going to go anywhere. If I had any doubts I won't leave the state by much

To help eliminate scammers I am limiting dating to close to home. I say only on state but I will go to the state close to me sometimes if they are willing to travel.

I'm in a bad situation, I can't travel to meet someone and it seems like no men want to travel to meet me. They only want to talk long distance on line. I am getting frustrated. I don't think anyone really wants to date.

I would like to say if the right one came along I would be willing to travel as far as it took, but since I know that I'm not willing to move very far from my family there probably isn't much point in trying to have a relationship over a distance of more than an hour or so away. If someone was willing to relocate from a considerable distance that would be great, but I would probably feel a lot of pressure because of their sacrifice too. I truly hate being single, but I wouldn't want the distance from family and friends of the women I loved to potentially split us up at some point either so I guess I would have to cross that bridge if I come to it. I have driven hundreds of miles to meet a guy I didn't know very well. They didn't drive 1 mile to meet me. Never again. If he was that much of a jerk it sounds like you are lucky it didn't go any further. I can't see myself standing someone up in the first place, let alone someone that was willing to drive so far to meet me. What a rotten thing to do. From what little I know about you I would have to say he really messed up. Hopefully it won't be long before you find the right guy and hopefully he will be close enough that distance is never an issue.

How far are you willing to go to meet someone? Where do you draw the line so to speak? How far are you willing to travel to meet someone you met online? I'm not searching for anyone, but I have often thought it would be interesting to meet mingle members who participate in the forums. like I know one of our regular ladies lives in Sacramento or near there. and a member who doesn't come on here often lives in the bay area. when I'm in their area I think it would be nice to meet in person with this person we share a lot with in the forums. I couldn't help it I had to reply, I feel so bad that you traveled all the way to South Africa for something that didn't turn out well. That is my home country and I know the sacrifice involved. And it was such a romantic thing to do! Don't loose hope, and by God...DON'T DO THAT AGAIN! :smile
