40$ two drinks each.. appetizer $15 entre $35 each... that's roughly $150 with tip... dinner twice a month..
. Coffee and or drinks throughout the week..
40$ too 50$...so ... so far you're sitting around $350... now throw a movie into the mix.. that's another 50 bucks...
And I like to take my lady friends out for a day of shopping... now that can run me anywhere between..$100..to $250.... so on average iam spending. . Roughly..$500.00..per month..not including..flowers. . Are the cost of transportation... not including the cost of looking good myself..lol..and smelling good..happy .now if you are like me and have more than just one lady friend..going..at any particular time..it can get a bit pricey..

And when it is tit for tat you "both" will spend about that.
I have dropped over 350. on one meal with a guy before{that did include tickets for a show}.. No big deal, if I can't afford to date then I stay home.

I have never expected a man to pay for me nor will I expect it. I also don't expect to pay for the man.. .It should be a shared thing with in ones budget.

When and if I ever thought I was paying for or being paid for it. I would close up shop be done and over with. I am not for sale.

People spend that sort of money on cigarettes and don't realise it.
What do they have to show for their investment.
No thanks I don't need to see graphic pictures

No1 is investing in his future.

I know where I would prefer to invest my money.

Now speaking of money,my bank account details are on my profile if you would like to invest in me.

Footnote.
Cigarettes in Australia cost about $30 per packet of 25 or 30.So the figures might be different here. Not too long ago $1 Aus was worth $1.12 USP
PS I prefer cash,I don't smoke.

Wow that's big spender
You spend that much on a date?
That's my morgage for the month.
I think I need to up my game. lol I go for the cheaper option taking him into consideration.
Hahaha ha My sister did say don't settle for the chop when you can have the prime porterhouse steak.
hahahahaha

no. Not big spender.. but if you want to take a woman out for a nice meal.. nice bottle or glass of wine..
It cost money..lol... later on pizza and burgers Come into
the picture... put even then you still have to go out for the occasional nice evening.. life is food.... it is nice to go into a very upscale restaurant have people waiting on you... having the people in the restaurant notice you.. and more to the point noticing the woman I am with... I like my dates to feel like they are.. the most glamorous most beautiful woman in the place..

That beautiful, bro.
thought of doing night classes. I know a few guys could do with it.
I never had that. For sure lifting my game up and why not.

..yes.. but you are a rare bird..wink..drinker .. I have gone on a lot of dinner dates and meet and greets.. and I mean a lot..laugh ..
And out of all those women! there are only two I think !that insisted on paying for their . Half of the dinner bill.. one of these ladies.. made a gesture to pay for her own drinks.. which I politely declined letting her do...drinker
And the other one became very insistent on paying for her share.. I believe this had to do with a little faux pas I made earlier.... well we were waiting for drinks before dinner.. in a attempt to make small talk... I brought up this site..m2.. and mentioned a topic.. I believe it was called.. paying your share.. I also believe I ,started the topic..lol.. it was about who should pay the bill when a man and woman go to dinner ... well of course me being me !..lol ..I did not really realize how my dinner guest was receiving this.. well ! How she was really.interpreting this little amusing story I was telling her.laugh .
but I clued in on it,when the bill came and she insisted on paying for her half of the meal..oops . I felt really embarrassed...whoa .. and tried explaining that the story I was telling her before we had dinner was not in some way.. to twist her arm to pay for her share of the meal.. needless to say I did not see her again after that..slaphead laugh laugh surprised

This is a topic that anyone can chip in with I suppose. Someone was saying something to me about how middle aged men usually need a wad of cash if they want to date young hotties though and she maybe had a point there and they probably don't want to date a bum or a cheapskate.

Obviously, it would be inappropriate for me to ask you how much you would usually spend if you wanted to have a really good night out with somebody and totally out of order for me to expect you to itemise your expenditure by asking how much you spend on alcohol, cocaine, jewelery, taxi fares and the like.

So then, just sum yourself up in a word or two maybe. Bum; cheapskate; big spender; or what?

I'm more about enjoying the company than to be impressed by material things.
it's more about being comfortable with each other than working hard to create a passing illusion.
I went out once with someone who took me hiking along some beautiful trails that led to the sea. he then proceeded to try to impress me by offering to buy me things along the stops on the scenic drive home.

I was able to stop that by telling him what it doesn't take material things to impress me.
so for me, I'm happy with the time I spend with someone

Dutch Date.

That way, no matter how the
date will end,
you will not feel
u have just used someone
or being used by someone.

To dignify more than that
would mean questions like -

what if u will find another one
hotter than your date?
does that mean goodbye?

what if u will find another one
more generous & big spender
than your date?
does that mean goodbye?

there will always be people
hotter, sexier, more beautiful,
more understanding, more compatible,
who can spend more, give more -

at the end of the day -
it will always be
not what u can give
but what u can live with
and respect with.

Just my take.

buying your lady friend a tight form-fitting sexy outfit.. that really highlights her attributes. .. and you ladies know what I'm talking about.. when you have on that so so sexy great-fitting.. makes you feel like a runway model.. outfit.. priceless..

I have never experienced that, nor do I know any woman that a man did any of those things for her. My fiance would loose it when I put on his hockey sweater or his overcoat. I would actually go over his house when we dated in my strappy stilettos, low cut top, skirt and he would prefer I wear his hockey sweater.

The look in his eyes when he saw me, in a t-shirt and jeans was what made me feel like the sexiest women on the planet.

Wow. . Really and man has never taken you out and bought you a nice sexy outfit...wow.. I enjoy watching my lady friends try on clothing... I even pick out outfits for them to try on... and when I get it right it is right..mmhhmm... seeing the expression on the woman's face.. when she is wearing.A Oh so so perfect outfit... makes me feel very good..yup

What she said is soooo much sexier! A man loving you for who you are, and getting turned on by that, not needing fancy bits of fabric for that.
A man who sees your *** and legs in nice jeans and starts drooling ... the guy that likes the look of his shirt when it curves around your boobs ...

You are both getting what you want, its give and take.

huh that's true..
But if it goes beyond that.. And it happens they both love each other..will the relationship last longer?
Expecting a guarantee is a sign of ignorance as in life and love there are no guarantees but if you have courage that is sufficient...

When i was in graduate school i tended to tell others i was poor and drove an old chevy ( actually a corvette) as i was not interested in financing any womans life but was interested in a partner and this selective process was quick to eliminate gals who were seeking deep pockets and i was happy to be passed over. Later after achieving a degree of affluence i still present the same as it tends to reduce the gals who would only date me for the ferrari so i still claim to have an old chevy ( though i have 5 corvettes among others)as my worth as a person is not derived from my affluence but rather the content of my character and what i value..Saves a lot of unnecessary time on people who cannot pay their own way too...

That's right. You have to pay to play.
" probably don't want to date a bum or a cheapskate...." or a middle age man
It works both ways. If a man wants a woman who doesn't care what he has or doesn't have, than he should be looking for a woman his own age, that doesn't 'want'
If he wants 'a young hottie, then he is the one that 'wants', & ' young hotties' know it. From her perspective she sees he is middle age & what he truly is.... Just like he sees her & she could be wasting her time (for an more age appropriate partner & even children). So yea... You better make it worth her while.

I am Dutch so I usually only have Dutch dates... and guess what: Dutch men always pay ...
The only time I had to pay for myself -or both- was when I was dating an Englishman ...
So in my book "English Dates" is what you're talking about, not Dutch dates. Dutch men are always gallant.

The English one kept whinging and whining about money throughout the 10-yr relationship. He was a cheapskate. Even tried to talk me out of doing Christmas pressies, just cos he couldn't be @r$ed to spend money on me.

Never had that happen with a Dutch man!

This is what I mean with dutch date Ms. Crystal:smile: flowers

"Going Dutch" is a term that indicates that each person participating pays for themselves, rather than any person paying for anyone else, particularly in a restaurant bill. It is also called Dutch date, Dutch treat (the oldest form) and "doing Dutch".

It is common in the corporate world.
Especially among yuppies.

Personal experience... If the lady insists on paying you will never see her again (it is one of the polite bush off signals).

Personal experience...
If I insist that we split the bill we split the bill.
I dont want to owe my date anything.
So he will know, he cant demand anything from me.
And it doesnt mean I will never date him again.

Dating him again will depend on how the first date went through.
Chemistry? Laughter? Compatibility?
Splitting the bill is just a way of saying
to me, respect my boundaries, we are just getting to
know each other yet.

Ohhh hellllllllllllll noooooo I so disagree with you on this one to the fullest~~~~~~~~~~~

When a guy ask me out at times he has paid and when we go out again there are times I have actually picked up the check more then once...

If it is the first time we have went out to eat or have a few drinks then I prefer to pay for mine and he pay for his.. If we go out again and he wants to pick up the tab then I don't have a issue with it..If in fact we go again then I will grab the check...

Now days most are all on a budget and I understand that. And so should everyone else..

The older we get it is tough to make ends meet and one can not expect the guy to pay for everything.. Specially now days heck I know many women that make more then the guys do..

I will continue to pay my part or pick up checks. I'm not going for the free meal. I'm going cause I actually enjoy the company of the man, I accept to go have a few drinks or dinner with.smile2

I agree with Adventure ... I've never paid for a date, but I can see myself insisting on paying for myself if I really don't wanna see the guy again, as in never ever.
I know women can have different ideas about this whole paying thing. I am not interested in a guy who's going to be difficult about a cup of coffee and maybe a small snack.
If you continue dating and have dinners, might change the ballgame a tad. But not the first dinner.

My experience are quiet good with Dutch Date.
Decent, lots of laughter & music.
Dutch Date is actually common here not just on romantic dates but
also on team buildings & group dates:smile:

Well I disagree with him from my own personal experience:smile:
I always insist on first date that it is a dutch date.
If there is a second date & I like him enough for a 3rd date, I will allow him to pay for the 2nd date, because I know I will insist on paying for the 3rd date.hahahaha

In that way, even if we dont find each other compatible,
no hard feelings. No one feels like someone gets an upperhand.
We move on and laugh about itbigsmile
