Woman Flips Out Over All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Rule, Police Say

All-you-can-eat apparently doesn't mean feed your friends as well.
An argument over the meaning of all-you-can-eat has led to assault charges for a woman in suburban Chicago.

Police in Oak Lawn, Illinois, said 27-year-old Natasha West flipped out at a Denny's restaurant after the waitress told her she couldn't share her $4 all-you-can-eat flapjacks with the other people at the table.
Police said West became "irate" and started swearing and swinging her fists at the server, according to NBC Chicago.

None of the blows landed on the waitress, according to police, but West and her party allegedly then left the restaurant without paying, only to stop to kick a door several times while on her way out, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The restaurant manager called police, who tracked down West and her dinner crew in a car a short time later. They were taken back to the Denny's where restaurant employees positively identified them.

One of West's friends paid for the food. West was arrested and charged with assault and damage to property, WGN-TV reports.

They should have sent Aunt Jermima out from the kitchen to take care of this. She would have kicked this ladies *** for ruining a fine breakfast.

No, only pancakes with melted butter and syrup dripping off them matter!

I went to a local deli last week. A guy ordered a salad bar salad. He then proceeded to feed all four of his family with all-you-can-eat stuff from the salad bar. One of his kids (looked about six) took the drink cup to the soda fountain and got a soft drink. He didn't like the flavor so he spit the mouthful out onto the floor in front of the parents who never said a word.

Obviously Denny's is a racist entity. Waffle House would have understood, and offered the table plates and cutlery. They also would have tried to upsell the patty melts and pork chops.

Chicken and waffles with Kid Rock and Snoop Dog is the bomb. Just sayin'.

Guess she got the " Goin' to the slam" breakfast.

I think its reasonable not to expect a mother to NOT share food with little ones still in a high chair,,,,after that however, the kids should have their own meals,,,,

What would you do in a situation like this?

Depends on what that situation actually is.

I remember going to restaurants where people brought their 90 kids and the kids were running around the restaurant stealing food from peoples plate, or if it was a buffet doing things like sticking their head under the soft serve spigot, or their hands into the chocolate fountain.

So, what's going on in the picture? Is the kid stealing a pancake from the kid in the high chair, does anyone know who the kids parents are or is the kid just running around wild?

Because the answer to "what would I do in a situation like this" ranges from ignore it if it's one pancake, charge for the kids meal if they're trying to get around the "all you can eat" and treating it like "all ya'all can eat," steal the kids and sell them to the saudi's, tell the parents to control their kids, smack the kid and take my pancake back and not eat it since their filthy hands were all over it but it's the principle, all the way to close the business until the wild children living in the walls can be fumigated or trapped.

I think that kid just popped up from under the table, grabbed the pancake, and then ran back into their hole.

So she didn't even have the $4 bucks to pay for the meal in the 1st place.

The ole " chew & screw" routine.. eat the food, cause a commotion and split in the confusion.

They just never banked on the restaurant calling the cops over such a small amount of money.

Definitely a ' zip lock bag lady' entitlement mentality.
I have seen them over & over at salad bars & smorgasborgs & even Chinese food bar's.

Most restaurants will charge you for an empty plate (for a child over 4). Which is understandable & reasonable. But over 11 or 12 years old, NO more favors noway

An adult can usually share with another adult an appetizer. (Or two or three apps..laugh). But there must be FULL price entrees. OR they will change for the plate.
Seems fair to me.
