What do you mean when you say " i love you"

Give me the remote control ! bigsmile

Seriously - I am not sure what you are asking ? But.. People should NOT say ' I love you ', unless they clarify it. Because ' I love you ' does not mean ' let's get married & be loyal & faithfull & true & have a bunch of kids & pretend we like eachother until we die ' spock
There can be no misinterperation .

What do you mean when you say " i love you"

You mean that you are happy because your girlfriend has a blaster, which she will use to kill two storm troopers.

It all depends who you are saying it too.
When I say it to my mum its because she's my mum.
When I say it to my dad it's because I need some money lol, sorry dad, I love him really.
I don't think I've ever been in love so I wouldn't know any other meaning.

What do you mean when you say " i love you"

Hmmmnnnn.... for most of the netizens who play around "l love you" means they want something from you either sex, money or fun. It is so easy for these kind of people to say it without meaning itlaugh drinker oops slaphead

I don't believe you don't know the meaning of "I love you".......maybe you should rephrase your topic I think? think what how bout ...When is the right time to say I love you? To whom should you say I love you (gf, bf, friends, parents/family)? How would you differentiate the level/intensity or kind of love for each of them? waving flowerforyou

I define things.

For instance, there are acquaintances (of which I have many) and there are friends (of which there are less than acquaintances) and there are Friends (of which I have only 1 or 2) and then there is a Friend With Benefits (of which I have only 1). Friends are extremely rare and should be cherished and nurtured.

There is tolerate, like, like a lot, enjoy immensely, luv, love and Love.

Enough said:banana:

I say this to my children
to my brothers
to my close friends I have known for years
I do not say this lightly or with a man unless I truly mean it

Exactly! And it always makes me feel really good as it's straight from the
I don't even expect the other to say the same thing, although it is nice if that happens of course. It's about expressing a deep, genuine feeling I have, not about forcing them to tell me they love me. (that's not love).

If it is to someone other than a family member or pet I am really saying (in no particular order)...

I care so much for you I can't find any other words.
I think about you when you aren't here.
I want to share all the little things in my life with you.
I trust and respect you.
It would hurt me if I knew you were in pain.
You add something to my life that I didn't have on my own.
I worry about you.
I feel deep affection for you, I pray I never hurt you.
I want to make you happy when you are sad.
If something happens in my day (no matter how silly) you are the first one I want to tell.
You make me smile even without trying.
When I think of you I want to hug you.
All the little things you do and say mean the world to me.
I don't want to imagine my life without you being a part of it.
We are connected.
I trust you with my life.
My life has changed for the better from knowing you and you being a part of it.
If anyone tries to hurt you, I will hunt them down.

And finally...
Being with you is like eating soup with a fork, I can never get enough!

So "I love you" is easier to say vocally, but emotionally it takes a lot for me to utter those words. I will feel all of the above long before I use the words. It isn't until I feel them all for a consistent period of time that I am finally overwhelmed and confess all!

I have only regretted saying it once. One of my exes said it first and I didn't say it back. Over time he convinced me that I did love him. It's easy for me to say now that I didn't feel it.

The above list is what I mean when I say the words. What I hope/expect from a two-way relationship is on a separate list :)

Love is a powerful thing, don't abuse it, don't use it to manipulate others.

Enjoy it when you do find it and never take it for granted.
