Hell no

I kept myself clean from that bull I'm not going to risk it for 2 minute buzz.
If you have STD use a blow up doll if you have to.
Don't pass it on to someone else.

Respect and love. Remember them when dangling that weapon around.

grumble

How many people would date someone with an STD?

Depends.
How hot are they and what STD do they have?

If it's Drew Barrymore with AIDS I'd be all "let me get some PrEP pills and my coat."

If it's a random profile off a dating website and it's herpes, then, naw, I'll just go on to the next.

she came out and told me and then asked me out on a date

If she was really hot I might go out on one date just to see if I could see her past her STD.

Unless it was easily transferable. Like if she didn't wear panties, left a snail trail on my car seat, and then it gets on my groceries, and bam I've got chlamydia or something.

Unless no contact that might infect me I would definitely go out with her. She confessed it first may be she just needs company. Has she seen a doctor for treatment?? If she hasn't then she might be ignorant and I wouldn't consider dating her.

Indeed a vary courageous girl to tell you. Like someone else said, there must have been something between you for some time, otherwise she wouldn't have told you?

In any case, I wouldn't get involved with them. Meaning no dating either, as I'd get emotionally attached.
I am so careful myself to not get an STD, I wouldn't want to take the risk.
I know that I'd never feel comfortable kissing and being intimate with them so it would just make things awkward for both.

frustrated Wow for and adults only site I am really shaking my head how MANY people STILL have not gotten the message about STD's.

I do not even like using the term because many diseases that are classed as STD's are in FACT transferred by means other than sexual contact. And have been around so long that many who have them are in fact BORN with these conditions or have acquired them in various transferences other than sexual contact.

AND the number of people who have dormant STD's and don't even know it. I guarantee you if you line up a random group of people you would never suspect had a STD your chances of one in four of them having one is the NORM. Has nothing to do with intelligence, age, race, economic status, cleanliness, or how they "look".

And yes many STD's can be treated in such a way that transference is VERY unlikely. Chances are actually smaller than they will expose you because at least you are attempting to not go unprotected.

AND as knee jerk the reaction is to saying "OMG No Way" SOME chronic STD's are no more serious, if managed, than say diabetes, high blood pressure, or driving too fast that hurt/kills way more people.

Would I go out looking for a partner that had and STD if I was under the impression I did not currently have that one yea probably not. But would I pass up the love of my life because it got to the point that intimacy was important to disclose that information and they were unselfish enough to tell me the truth probably not. To me that would just be bad Karma.

Why because yes a few who have STD's have done a LOT of stupid stuff but the average person who does has not done anything that most do in modern society. If you have NEVER had "unprotected sex", never played grab and grope as a kid or little tipsy, or just had some one push a kiss/whatever on you that you do not want well goodie for you but that is NOT the real world.

What REALLY BUGS ME is if people are so grossed out by STD's then why don't more get into their pocket and FIND A CURE ?

Results of a recent, nationally representative study show that genital herpes infection is common in the United States. Nationwide, 45 million people ages 12 and older, or one out of five of the total adolescent and adult population, is infected with HSV-2.

Most people who have herpes have no, or very mild symptoms. You may not notice mild symptoms or you may mistake them for another skin condition, such as a pimple or ingrown hair. Because of this, most people who have herpes do not know it

most routine STD checks do NOT include being checked for this one

just so ya know

I dunno....would you bang a sheep? No? Well there ya go man.

Is she a loving, caring sheep, with the ability to maintain a good
monogomous relationship?
Will she NOT flock off with the first slick ram, that offers to share
his alfalfa cubes with her.
Things are seldom black and white..yes and no.
happy

I couldn't. Would hate the thought of putting myself at risk. I'm not meaning that in a judgemental way. I'd be friends with some, but that's as far as it goes. It was hard enough, trying to recover from IBS, without having to catch anything else. laugh. That alone, was a rollercoaster, within itself. I want to live the rest of my years, free from any disease, virus, infection, bronchitis.

As usual Minglers you do not disappoint... laugh
I was reading some of ya'll reactions and boy some of them are doozies.
9 times out of 10 a person is not going to tell you like that lady   did. So unless you are a virgin you might have an STD and don't even know it.

I have a friend that has an STD, from a relationship very early in her life. When she becomes involved with someone and they want to move forward she does disclose her condition. It is surprising how many man are NOT deterred by this information.
So apparently there are many people who would date and become intimately involved with someone that has an STD.

Because latent STD's can do so much harm to a person who otherwise feels healthy it is important to always tell your doctor if you are sexually active and be regularly (annually) tested. Just because you are faithful does not mean your partner always is. There are still people wo only ask strangers or "pro's" for certain types of sexual encounters their partners will not do and that puts everyone at risk.

What many people forget kissing can and does transfer STD's. As can heavy petting so thinking you are safe because you don't have full intercourse does not keep you8 safe.
