I trust every one... To be selfish, greedy and self centered. That way when ever I find someone who is not, it's rather refreshing.

I try to keep my expectations of people low understanding that they are flawed as all humans are , but i try to keep my hopes high. Too many people are walking aroundvcrushed and jaded because they trusted too much and too soon.What stan 147 said is true. Trust has to be earned by BOTH parties gradually over time.

The way I would put it, would be more along the lines that you'll never know if you can trust someone, unless you give them space to find out. By the way, related to this, is that if you find you don't trust ANYONE, this is often a result of the fact that you haven't completely worked out where your own personal boundaries are. You functionally don't trust yourself, and therefore shy away from trusting others, because when you don't know your own boundaries, you end up allowing everyone else to set them for you.

the best way to know if u can trust someone is to trust them first . Could be for some who easily trust people. But when you had been hurt, betrayed or taken advantage because you are so naive or vulnerable I wouldn't trust first to get to know someone, I'll just use the phrase "give him the benefit of the doubt". It would be up to someone to prove himself worthy of your trust, as Stan said, "trust is earned".

I used to say, I trust someone as far as I can toss them. I'm better now... I put them in a grocery cart and I push real hard!

In God we Trust..the rest is strictly CASH....and I dont trust women who do not drink....not even a simple glass of wine..lol...But all kidding aside, trust yourself first before others...just saying..
