Some of you have had the pleasure of reading, responding to and even starting multiple threads here at mingles. Were there any threads in particular that left you feeling especially enlightened or maybe made you look at a particular topic differently?

There was a group of us that migrated from a much more international site.

I enjoy threads, thoughts, people, and perspectives that challenge my own. Even regionally here in the states I seem to have much more "liberal" views than most.

I like to keep open to opinions even though......You Know.......I know everything.whoa

Most of what Beach says, just that I wasn't part of that group.

Learning about America and Americans, which I find highly interesting since my daughter lives there

Keeping my English up to speed, which was going down the drain real fast after I left my British ex

Learning more American words, phrases etc. When I first got here, I was struggling at times. I was used to communicating with British people.

I originally came because I wanted to meet singles near me and possibly find "The One" it soon became obvious, this site was not going to provide that tool for me.. But somehow I found these threads..

As I awkwardly stumbled threw learning my way around (with a few subtle reprimands from moderators) I like it..

I find Humor in a lot of situations, but I can also be serious when needed. after 40 some years of life on this earth, taking life's best punches. Humor is my saving grace..

SO if I offended anyone I apologize.. it's all in light hearted fun and if i haven't offended you.. stay tunnednoway laugh drinker slaphead

No. Men ignore your boundaries, just like everywhere else.

Thanks for letting me know David. One always runs that risk with every thread initiated. Aren't you proud of me for not starting the 60th thread on if there is anybody real out there? rofl

Hey!
Maybe we should start a thread about all the threads that have been duplicated ...laugh

Over the years quite a few; even some that have been recycled and the "new" people add their perspectives.

More so I think it is how some take the time to give a perspective that I can't have given my gender or experience. That is valuable to me.
