I had a guy IM me and he seemed really nice. Then he asked me if I would like to talk on the phone, I said no that I don't give my phone number out. He asked me if I wanted to type my life away or would I rather actually meet someone?
Now heres my whole point...I typed with this guy maybe 10 minutes before he asked me for my phone number. Then he tells me it seems like I have a sad life to only want to type. Actually, I have a good life and don't need another stalker around...thats why I don't give out my number to just anyone!
Whats your opinion of this??

Simple, he is a jack ass. Move on to a guy who doesn't pressure you to do something.

makes perfect sense to be honest with you. You do need to be careful about who you give your number to. It's better to get to know someone before you start giving personal info out.

hi, you did the right thing, if after 10 minutes hes asking for personal information, in your case your phone number then i would be suspicious

next time give him the number to an out of town dominoes pizza

ANy person who would start to ask for personal info almost right off the bat is not right. I mean you should get to know a person as much as possible before anything like that. Just my 2 cents

cvaughn..I didn't give him any information..I just told him he was rude and he told me I was wasting my life by typing away.

Plus why or how could you think a person is wasting their life away by typing? It's all about meeting new people and gaining life experience!

I guess what I would worry about is that if he is that big of a jerk off online, just think what he's like in person haha.

Trust your instinct. You should not be pressured into doing something you are not comfortable with. He is not the kind of guy you would want in your life anyway, controlling and disrespecting you. You made the right decision, by not giving out your telephone number.

But why the heck aren't woman like this to guy's ?. I might want to be stalked, then again maybe not.

But over all woman on here don't talk to guys that much or at least maybe it's just the area your in and you have to be out of state to meet some one out of another state to start talkin to you.

I am so glad you posted this unsure. Thank you. I have had the same problem on a few occasions. I do not hold any ill will towards them for asking, I am so new to the online thing, I guess I am unsure (no pun intended)of what to do. I was feeling bad as though I am the one being a stick in the mud. I am glad there are others like me who feel mailing should be enough for a while and then step forward after that or not depending on the situation. Again thanks
