If I'm awake, the TV is usually on mainly for background noise.
I do watch the news....and keep track of when certain documentaries I might like will come on.
And I'm gonna watch football... period.

And the whole "I don't watch TV' thing makes me chuckle. If your on the internet, you're "watching TV"

That's me, too. Partly for reasons other than so that I can watch it, I have a handicapped child and other concerns involved.

But especially since 9-11, when I only knew what had happened because I was driving and listening to New York radio at the time, I like to keep it rolling for notices.

I especially find people who think it's an accomplishment to say they never watch, to be amusing. I've been hearing that from lefties for decades now, and now a bunch on the right has taken up the delusion as well.

It's cute.

There's a lot of useful stuff, and good thought provoking stuff available now. It's not all sitcoms and fantasy westerns, like it was when I was a kid.

I understand the 'background noise' thing. Especially when your use to a big family or lots of activity.

I tried all kinds of music. But only ended up constantly changing channels & CD's. And adjusting the volume.

So now.... All light classical, (almost) all the time.
Too much of anything else... & I am not responsible for my actions.

* It is a clause ,in my contract  *

E.

I only have three shows that I love and am obsessed with and actually write my work schedule around and shut my phone off during. Everyone knows if the stores not being robbed or is someone's not dead you better not call me on Mondays when Gotham is on or Wednesdays when Criminal Minds and Criminal Minds Beyond Borders is on. Beyond Borders isn't the greatest show but I am very loyal to Gary Sinise for all he does for our troops, veterans and first responders and the help he has given and continues to give to the benefits I put on.

I had Roku, the box then my new TV came with it built in. You should really check out Amazon Fire TV, it works much better and a better quality picture even if you have a low internet bandwidth and the voice remote is a nice feature.

I have one hooked into every TV in my house. You can get every TV show or movie they day its released or aired and you get to keep it in your account indefinitely.
