Lately I have been watching the show Ancient Aliens and I have found it fascinating. But it seems to pose as many questions as it attempts to answer. It's really quite provocative. And if we believe that aliens could be visiting out planet in modern day, why wouldn't we believe that they have visited our planet in the past? Are they the basis for some of our mythical gods and monsters? Who knows. Has anyone else seen this show or done any research into this subject?

Media seems as if they are preparing us. How many sci fi shows that were Alien and fantasy to us in the past are reality now?

I've let those shows run for a while, because I like those channels in a general way.

When I was much younger, the romantic notion that Aliens were about to swing down from the skies and make the universe a much more exciting place, was tons of fun. But now, I find most of those shows more frustrating, than anything else.
The reason why they "ask more questions than they answer," is a chosen formulaic approach to that subject matter. By asking a leading question, instead of stating something as a fact (which they can't prove), they can maintain the illusion of conducting a scientific inquiry about it all.

It's identical to political propagandists, who list some intriguing, but incomplete facts about a situation, and then call upon the audience to "connect the dots" on their own. If they can get people to lie to themselves, they can claim to be honest, even though they are clearly not so.

I spent a lifetime studying history of humans, and so far, 100% of what I've seen, fits into a world of imaginative and emotional HUMAN EARTH PEOPLE. There's no need for Aliens or Gods, to explain any of it.

But again, it is a lot of fun, and one more thing: I support the idea that everyone of us SHOULD learn to challenge the "official line" for every explanation of everything we deal with. If nothing else, continued investigation of these possibilities, contributes to keeping our very local scalawags from sneaking off with everyone's silver.

I think it all comes down to this...a senario of course..

What if we found out that we are an experiment, left to its own, and forgotten. Or the original scientists were destroyed in an accident. The fact that we are alien?

If a piece of evidence were to come out, confirming this fact...

How do you belive the world would react?

Maybe sooner than we think?

well, there is a lot of circumstantial evidence to support this... historical paintings that depict UFO's
ancient cities like puma punku, the pyramids, nasca lines in south america...

the Vatican having one of the worlds largest telescopes, who some believe is used to look for wormwood (named LUCIFER, of all things)...

Advanced astrophysics and everything we know so far as in documentary shows, books, articles, etcetera, etcetera. Is this real? And what I mean by my question.. Do people really believe in the existence of aliens, today, nowadays? I accept the fact that it's up to each individual to accept, learn and understand the phenomenon. But still.. I'm trying to understand this myself.

well, it's mainly up to you to study these things and form your own opinions about it... from what i've read and understand, it's very likely that Aliens probably did "seed" the Earth, and stayed for a while...

but i also see it this way - if you use mathematics as a base, there are (estimated) 400 billion stars just in the milky way galaxy (our galaxy, the one that Earth is in) alone, and another (estimated) 400 billion galaxies in the universe that we can see... just the math alone says the probability of other life is out there... but that does not mean they were ever here, just means the probability of alien life exists..

another thing to think about is the estimated age of our solar system is about 4.5 billion years old, and the estimated age of the universe is over 14 billion years old... if a life form developed 10 billion years ago, how advanced would they be if they lived for over a billion years? humans are only about 1.5 million years old, with a history of only 12,000 years... so if humans are around in a billion years from now, what would our technology be like then?

yup..that is true. you have a point right there...

it would be advanced technology and more, i think. more for us to study and try to understand the phenomenom.
