I hope this isn’t true. Trump made a promise to the American people and he can’t go back on it. If he does he is basically exposing a side of him that his supporters hoped they wouldn’t see. There really are people that are above the law. This is really disturbing. Gowdy, Chaffetz, FBI agents, and the American people have been stabbed in the back! Trump knows she’s guilty as hell. He has Roger Stone, Tom Fitton, Giuliani, etc. There are books written about it. He stabbed all the Women that Bill abused that came out and supported him in the back as well. This would be absolutely disgusting.

Since Trump isn't yet the POTUS, he can't pardon anyone.

Also, there is a difference between pardoning a person and declining to pursue a case against a person.

Trump has decided to do the latter in regards to Hillary Clinton, and he has a legitimate reason to do so.

I hope this isn’t true. A special prosecutor is needed to investigate her and Obama's role in all of this.

Agreed David. Trump is a master tactician. He knows he's not president yet. So he spills the beans saying I'm not going to pursue any more. But he knows that the FBI and the justice department are now fully in charge of their old jobs. The president the United States has no authority over these departments when it comes to legal and judicial issues. Unlike Hillary Clinton who totally was in error and totally illegally compromised the justice department and the FBI. So Trump has really just said I wash my hands of it. Let the FBI and justice department to their jobs on the corruption of the Clinton Foundation and all the people involved including the American pharoah.

Thanks David,

From what I've found, Trump can really hold a grudge. So, I think this is his way of making the Clintons relax, just like rats eating the cheese on the rat trap just before it SNAPS!!

Three problems with focussing the prosecutorial proceedings on Hillary:

One, daughter Chelsea is BFF's with daughter Ivanka.

Two, Hillary may very well die of natural causes before a verdict can be rendered. This would abruptly end prosecution and create a martyr.

Three, people in possession of knowledge or evidence against the Clintons have an uncanny history of ending up dead in mysterious circumstances before they can testify.

My guess is, President Trump will instruct Attorney General Sessions to wage a carefully coordinated phalanx of prosecutions against all the individuals around Hillary, including both the DNC and individual members of Congress.

This strategy minimizes the risk of being derailed by the demise of any single individual.

No doubt we will see the contents of both Hillary's and Anthony Weiner's computers leaked out at a pace calculated to inflict the hellish tortures of anticipative fear on the guilty, and wreak maximum annihilative devastation on the reputation of the Democratic Party as a whole.

Think about it. If Obama thinks Trump is going after Hillary he will issue a pardon before he leaves office and Trump can do nothing. Trump's got to get them to relax and keep their guard down. Obama is also stupid enough to fall for it.

Did anyone watch 60 minutes interview of Trump? Or does everything have to come from the internet now? This is old news to me. He said in his interview that he is friends with the Clinton's and would not go after Hilary. He was wish washy on many of the things that he had said. Part of this is to clam people down and get them to work with him, and part is the reality of what can actually get done. He didn't use the word "Pardon", but if he had sufficient need to do so during his Presidency I'm sure he would. He's a businessman and often tells people what they want to hear in order to get things done.

A pardon can only be extended when there is a final verdict issued. If she dies while on trial or not, is irellavant. She broke the law. Justice and the FBI are now under new management. Comey and Lynch will be out. Lock her up!!

No, the President can issue a preemptive pardon.

That is correct. President Ford pardoned President Nixon although Nixon hadn't been convicted of anything.

President Obama has pardoned the last turkeys that he will ever pardon as POTUS.
Hillary was disappointed to learn that she wasn't one of them.
