I think there are at least two kinds.

The outright trolls, fakers who post things to taunt the real people, including the people who are off mentally just enough to be seriously annoying, but not quite enough to be incarcerated. Yet.

And then there are people who I think just barely got it together enough to make an opening post, and are so horrified at the responses, especially the attacks (which can get pretty vicious and callous, even WITH moderation), that they feel crushed, and delete.

And the ones who just want to post a rant against their ex.

They are profiles created by weather balloons.

Profiles created by a secret government entity to monitor the psychotropic drugs that have been introduced into our country's ecosystem.

Maybe their husband or boyfriend caught them on the site

Most likely they're just scammers .. detected by the site's security check .. sometimes there is no real person behind .. just a bot (computer program) trying to create something which might resemble a human conversation .. to sell you a malicious dating or a porn site. Sooner or later it fails .. coz this thing can't answer any question ..

Speculating on the whys are pointless. There are many reasons for why a person deactivates or why the site deactivates a person. It shows the same...deactivated
