Much like the Black Widow spider and the Preying Mantis, the female disposes of the male after letting him have some fun...but the Femme Fatale fireflies actually deceives the male to lure him into his ultimate destiny.winking

I can't relate.

I don't see women as evil queens, Black widows or anything but other people.

I never feel threatened by anyone. But then, I was trained to kill with anything and still remember my training.

My emotional maturity and self-control prevent me from allowing others to have power over me unless I choose to.

My ability to accept the things I can't control and move on gives me contentment.

well normally I might say this is untrue..however, my father-in-law
fell hook line and sinker for a black widow in a retirement village in Florida. He had been married to my mother-in-law for 35 years and lost her to cancer. After retiring he moved down there to be near his brother and this woman got her claws in him. He had a nice retirment saved after working his whole life. She was all sweetness and sugar when they were dating. He flew all down for the wedding. I thought it odd she drove a crappy little car and lived in a trailer if she had worked her whole life as a nurse. Her kids spent most of time out sight seeing and spent no time getting to know us. They did not help their mother get ready for wedding or help with reception. I thought that odd..she talked him into an expensive cruise for honeymoon. Well I don't think they were married three months when she informed him she wanted a divorce, after trying to talk him into a bigger house, buying her a better car, selling her trailer. He said no to all of this and wanted to rent out her trailer and said he was on a fixed income. She tried going after his retirement funds in the divorce but he had a lot of it put away in trust funds for the grandkids so she got almost nothing. He was embarrassed about the whole thing.Turned out this was her forth marriage and she had been doing this for awhile.
