Just a fun little topic describe what you like most about your city or your country..
Why would someone come visit where you live list the highlights tourist attractions if you have any..
Or maybe the negatives why we should stay away.. like rattlesnakes are tarantulas or killer koala bears..lol..

Not like posting where you live is some Super Duper Secret.

I live in NY and I have to say that we have everything. I have travel to many great cities and I love The US for travel, but I think we have the country beat hands down.

I will go so far as saying that NE is fantastic! I love Pittsburgh PA and I love Boston.

If you wanna yap east coast travel then Im your guy. I know where to get the best burgers, cheese goat poppers, stuffed mushrooms and shrimp on the east coast. Dont even mention a great small time joint to listen to great Blues and take a boat ride holding hands with that special person in your life.

I love the East Coast and all our travel we can do on the fly. The best!

We are just a small stunning country in the beautiful pacific .. far away from North Korea and americalaugh laugh

Maybe instead of trying to be witty and in the shadows in your post you should actually travel. I lived in Seoul, Korea for a year.

It was about as fantastic as can be. I loved it. Though a city made of 25million people that is twice the size of NY is not a cup of copee do deal with, but its manageable. Very easy language to learn also.

Anyahasaio Adjuma! Sorry. I cant write the language, but I can still speak the basics. Drop me in the middle of Seoul and I can get you just about anywhere today....Maybe - Gulp.....lol

I am living in a tiny town in Ontario Canada. It is the only place that I feel 99.9 % safe. If I forget to the lock the door, it is no biggie. We have the water where you can see boaters fishing, the sparkling water is breathtaking. Do not mean to brag but I believe it is the prettiest water front in Ontario. It is also, a very clean city. if you have OCD, just saying. It is hard to find litter in this city. Just the right size not too big and not too small. An hour away from two major cities and the American border. Nice, Ottawa, Montreal and the New York State across the bridge.

I have lived in the Boston area for a long time & I really like Boston and the entire England region. I like Boston because it's small city has a lot to offer culturally - it has a great local music scene, has great museums and schools and great restaurants Plus I love the fact it's so liberal. After all the American revolution started right here in Lexington! I also like the fact it's such a big sports town - we've got the Sox, the Celtics, the Bruins and the Patriots. Plus it's right on the water. What more could you want?

It is a every changing city.. its " alive" the sounds. the smell.. the energy. The history, ethnic diversity and the character.

I have been to a lot of cities worldwide. But there is nowhere like NYC

I'd love to know the great small time joint to listen to great Blues it isn't in Boston by any chance is it?
If you like Maine - I can tell you the best place to get a fresh scallop dinner or clams and the best place on the east coast to see the sunrise.

I totally LOVE Boston, but no. If you want great blues you have to do down south in a backwood shanty. GA is ok, but I been in some SC backwood corn fields at biker bars that just are hopping fun!

NY has all the music to be honest. Im gonna miss Itzak Perlman next month because I am now single. Yes - I love classical also. Im gonna miss the Yes concert upstate in a couple weeks also....No biggie. I seen those guys many times. But my buddy just seen them and said they are still great despite their age.

If I was able to find a great honest woman who dont want that funny stuff I would pay for both concerts for companionship. Lemme tell ya. Its not even concerts. I miss my ex for road trips. Boston was always a great time for me and walking The Freedom Trail.

Here is a suggestion if your on Boston. This is a great week you can do. Im in NY, but it will work for you - Just go backwards.

We go to Pittsburgh. Go to PNC for a fast game, stay next door at the Marriot so you dont have to drive. The taxi service will bring you all over for eats, shopping, and the casino. For 380$ a night you get the basics but its not like a 5-Star, but its noce. Leave and to to Gettysburg. Then go to Boston and Salem real fast. Go to Mr. Smalls. Its a Live Rock joint thats really cool. Just go backwards from Boston. Go to upstate in the fall and watch the leaves change and make a fast stop at Niagra Falls, go to Amherst for a fast steak and then to to Seneca and get a room.

One more fsat tip. If you do this run...I call it the Travel Triangle. Hit up Copperstown BHOF for a few hours. Its a fantastic small town. Walk off the Main St and look at all the beutiful flowers and old homes. Grab an ice cream at that small joint in the corner. They make it fresh and its really good stuff on a hot day.

I can give you many East Coast road trip tips. My ex and I was the road trip masters. Everything east of Mississippi is great..

Get with me on a Florida, DC and GA road trip. Ha. I LOVE DC.

This is why breaking up is horrible for a middle age guy. Its not even about "relations" if you know what I mean. I miss all the road trips and getaways. Too me that was the best and what I miss most. Meet a woman now being older and all they wanna know is when your gonna bring them to Applebees. Really? Never ate at one. Its trash food! We even brought our own food or cooked on vacations because we get a full suite.

60 miles from New Orleans.
All the fun and culture but none of the city crime.
Small town right on the beach but not a tourist trap.
We have high end venues next to frugal ones.
The native people are laid back and mind their own business.
The tourists are fun and adventurous.

There is always something happening within 50-60 miles.
We have parades, festivals, cook-offs, craft fairs, roadside markets, flea markets, open air concerts, large venue concerts, A coast wide Cruisin The Coast annual weekend extravaganza, county fairs, state fairs, city fairs, church fairs and many many more attractions all year round.

My town has an Olde Town Center with hundreds of lil mom & pop shops selling anything from old tyme ice cream and candy to souveniers.
There are pottery barn/museums, nature walks, casinos, you name it.

Plus, the cost of living is afforadable and most of the infrastructure is new or recently renovated. The police are friendly and helpful and not all up into everyone's doings.

I have had visits from both friends and family that love the bed & breakfast type environment and always go home with great memories.

The only drawback, for me (I have trouble with the heat), is the terrible hot and humid weather.
Its Oct 1 and right now at 4:30 pm it is 84°(RealFeel® 90°). Which is cool compared to mid summer. There is a threat of hurricanes. We never get snow (I miss snowmobiles)(jetskis are cool tho).

If you're lookin for something to do...
