Remember all the hoopla and criticism about Obama on the golf course?

President Donald Trump could be on track to spend as much as triple the time former President Barack Obama did on the golf course in his first year in office -- and to play more than former President George W. Bush did in eight years in office.

Trump spent Saturday at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, marking the 81st day that the President has visited one of his golf courses -- and his fourth straight day at a club. A law enforcement source said Trump played with golf legend Jack Nicklaus, a longtime supporter of the President.

It is unclear, however, whether Trump golfs each day he visits a course or how many rounds he plays when he does. White House aides rarely confirm that the President is golfing, but Trump did so himself on Friday, announcing that he was playing with golfing stars Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson.

By comparison, Obama played 333 rounds of golf during his eight years in office and at this point in the first year of his term had played 26 rounds, according to Mark Knoller of CBS News, who keeps detailed statistics of presidencies.

Knoller told CNN that Bush played only 24 rounds of golf as President and stopped playing golf after October 13, 2003, after he was criticized for golfing while the nation was at war. At this point in his presidency, Bush had golfed seven times.

Many Americans -- and more than a few presidents -- play golf. Trump's golf outings are notable only because he repeatedly mocked Obama for the time he spent on the golf course and said he wouldn't have time if he were elected president.

"If I win I may never see my property -- I may never see these places again," Trump said at an August 2016 event. "But because I'm going to be working for you, I'm not going to have time to go golfing, believe me. Believe me. Believe me, folks."

a relatively minor one, but none the less, another in
the long list of campaign lies spoken by Trump..

I'd say "par for the course" from the Hypocrite-in-Chief...

So you have a problem with golf? Or is it just the whiteness part of it? And, you left out that it wasn't obarry playing golf, it was when there was a major crisis, and obarry was on the golf course...

That's the best you can come up with.. that the guy likes to play golf?. You were the ne screaming that Obama had every right to play golf.. but the new President doesn't?

Republican and white.. two strikes against the guy right there, heh

No. I dont have a problem with golf, nor, as is a common delusion here, white people.

I am from a golfing family. I didnt have a problem with ANY presidents golfing, or whatever else they chose to do to unwind since NOONE is made to do NOTHING BUT WORK.

My curiosity stems from the silence from those who constantly whined about 'how much' Obama golfed, and who are mute when Trump is far exceeding that very same 'how much'.

I think the point has been misunderstood here... The issue was not with Obama playing golf... It is one way Presidents have used to relieve stress for years.

What bothered many that voiced their opinions was the fact after something that concerned all whether a disaster/terrorist attack he was photographed on the golf course when many Americans felt he should be at the White House discussing issues with others in order to respond to the Public what actions would be taken...

Instead of visiting places of disasters he sent the Vice President or someone else then he was photographed on the golf course on that day..

When there is a crisis many do not feel the President should be playing golf while he sends others in his place..

At this time every disaster Trump has flown in himself to evaluate the situation. That is want many America wants, for our President to show that they are concerned..

Yeah. The only person whining about Trump's golfing is Hillary Clinton.

Just more CBS pollution.

Yes, the brainwashing is complete. It makes such a difference if a President makes a 30 minute stop at a disaster site the very next day or one week later.

Does anyone else hear crickets?

No. It's too cold for them here.
There were a ton of birds in my yard today, though.
I went outside and it was like standing by the ocean, like a trilling roar. I thought the trees were dropping acorns like rain, but it was actually poop.
Thankfully I stopped eating sunflower seeds otherwise I might have been in an impromptu reenactment of an Alfred Hitchcock horror movie.

Remember all the hoopla and criticism about Obama on the golf course?

Of course.
I also remember the hoopla and criticism of Bush Jr. on his ranch, biking, and playing golf.
And the hoopla about Bill Clinton's vacations.

I can understand why you may be hearing crickets about Trumps potentially excessive golfing.
I mean so many people and media outlets are "complaining" about his alleged racism, bigotry, misandry, sexism, stupidity, ignorance, etc., that complaining about golfing might detract from those more serious complaints or arguments against them.

My curiosity stems from the silence from those who constantly whined about 'how much' Obama golfed

So back when "those" were "constantly" whining about Obama golfing, you wrote down their names, addresses, whatever, each and every one, then started following them on a daily basis, recording everything they whined about, possibly in order to measure the level of whining?

I don't think I could handle that hobby.

Neither can I cire. But I can handle general observation of trends in media and on this board.

well....

maybe instead of distracting about our president, drinking a bottle of water or playing golf, ( you know, like msm likes to do, because they don't actually have journalistic standards....) perhaps, we could make posts of substance like:....

The theft of the DNC nomination
of Bernie Sanders by Hillary Clinton.

The murder of Seth Rich, the wikileaks whistle blower that worked for, (you guessed it) Hillary Clinton.

The sale of American Uranium to Russia thru a Canadian company approved by Hillary Clinton.

The close friends and campaign funders of Hillary Clinton that are know pedophiles, like Harvey Winestien, Epstine, and her manager John podesta, and possible pedophile creepy Joe bidden. He just can keep his hands off of little girls and other men's wife's. by the way..a possible funder of hers that was going to testify against K illery, you guessed it he "suicided" himself..

You know a lot of people who have know the Clinton's are really good at shooting themselves behind their ear...hummm.

Hillary Clinton's lies of Russian collusion, when it has been confirmed that her campaign paid for the secret dossier, that said president Trump had romps with prostitutes, lions and bears and a horse...pretty good for a guy with little hands!

You know something???

I can see why the left would rather talk about golf. if my side was a spirit cooking, blood drinking, Satan worshipping bunch of hollyweird A$$holes, I'd be losing it too.

Seth rich, who worked for the DNC(Not HIlary Clinton) and was one of 11000 gun deaths that occurred last year, substantial but nothing surprising

The Canadian company that sold uranium to Russia was involved in a process that involved plenty of licenses and processes, Clinton could not have made it happen or stopped it from happening.

'close friends' and 'known pedophiles' are used here very loosely and unproven/unprovable

I know some of the THOUSANDS of people the Clintons have known in their 70 years of life have been victims of crime.

IT has not been 'proven' that Hillary's campaign paid for a secret dossier

I can see why the right(?) wants to distract from their hypocritical criticisms of others by repeating false news.

Hmm. Well, I personally don't remember a lot of complaints about Obama golfing, but then I tend to tune out such things, unless the people complaining are actually in a position to push policy because of it.

I do remember Bush the Younger, infamously using the golf course as a backdrop for one of his attacks on the mess in the Middle East after 9-11, where he said some pointed aggressive words about our chosen opponents there, ending with the words "Now watch me hit this (golf ball) onto the next green." Or something like that anyway. Anyone who pretends that they thought Obama didn't take things seriously enough, must have demanded that Bush be instantly removed from office for THAT little ditty. Or admitted that their righteousness about Obama is all puffery.

In a larger historic context, this is an oft repeated story. When a political party is OUT OF POWER, they tend to find all manner of things to say about the opposition, in hopes of getting the electorate to hate them, which they immediately blank their minds about, the moment they win power back again. It's what I think of as "standard level hypocrisy," and it's only really egregious, when it becomes the ONLY reason that I am supposed to support removing the guy from office for.
