Hoping someone can give me proper guidance. A couple of years ago, I met someone living in Asia through Mingle 2. Since then we have built a growing relationship. I have gone to Asia to visit her over the past two years.
We are trying to apply for a K-1 Visa in order to marry here in the United States.
I have a problem because the USCIS is requiring a written letter from Mingle 2 stating they are not a Marriage Broker and explaining why they are exempt from International Marriage Broker Regulation Act (IMBRA).
I do not know how I can obtain this written request from Mingle2,or even how I can get someone from Mingle2 to respond to my questions.
If anyone can guide me in the right direction,I would greatly appreciate your help.
We've invested a long time in building this relationship. We are very heartbroken to feel by meeting on Mingle2 may cause us problems with having a future together. I'm hoping Mingle can reach out and help this couple who started a wonderful relationship by meeting on their dating site.
Please, any help will be welcomed.

If you can't get anyone at M2 to provide a statement specifically you might try printing the "About" Page.
Another alternative would be to print off the "Terms of Use", Have it notorized as a document.
You can find the privacy policy, terms of use and contact us at the bottom of the webpage.

Uh, how about you just tell them you met over there since you can prove you've been there?

I don't think bringing up Mingle2 is a good thing in this case scared

Thanks for that info too Tom4Uhere. I'm not very good with understanding everything in those terms. I would have thought they have had this situation occur before and could simply provide a document for anyone requesting. Guess I have got myself into a mess. Thanks again.

Johnn111...I have already submitted info to an agency helping me to file for the K-1 Visa. They are the ones who will know this proof will be required. I was trying to be honest, so nothing would come back about providing false information. But you are probably correct, I would have had less trouble if I hadn't already mentioned it.

why when you apply for your visa do you even have to mention you met on this site I mean if you went in and applied as if you went to Asia and met and decided to marry there would be no need to have a letter from anyone..is there something I'm missing here..Not to mention some people never paid anything and met and married so wouldn't that null and void the fee portion therefore it would have no chance of even being called a marriage broker..

The site doesn't require you pay anything..wouldn't that in itself be enough to say it's not a marriage broker..of course I don't know the ins and outs of marriage or marriage brokers cuz I've never been ..but I mean if you would be a marriage broker you sure wouldn't make much money at it if you didn't require the participants to pay..and wouldn't that be a prerequisite to being a marriage broker.. the requirement to pay..just throwing it out there..maybe in something I've written provides a loop hole..never been married wouldn't know..smokin

Submit a request asking for a Admin to contact you let them know what you are requesting... Explain it to them they will contact the ones above them to see if it is something they could help you with it...

Never know they may be more then willing to help those out that met on this site...

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Contact Us
https://mingle2.com/welcome/contact_us
Explain to them what it is you are needing...

Actually the Privacy Policy may be enough I would print it off and ask them~~ https://mingle2.com/welcome/showPrivacy

Or really the Terms of Us should display what they are asking for you might want to print that up as well https://mingle2.com/welcome/showTOS

If my links do not work for you since I'm on a computer just scroll to the very bottom and you can find the links there to click on..

If I was you I would print those things off and send in a request through the Contact Us link~~~
