Is it instinctive for guys to say ILOVEYOU during/after making love or Not? How will the girl know, if there's Love? If girls don't hear it then would it just mean you are being used?

If you've gotten to that point and aren't sure. I think you've done things out of order.

Love messages should have nothing do do with intercorse, i.e. having intercourse is only one part of a proper relationship. JMO

Just enjoy sex but never take any notice of what a man says during it ..lol
It's how he treats you and what he says in normal day to day life that will tell you if it is love it not ..

YES. When the guy wants to spend time with you out of bed.

YES she's is being used.

Not really. That's sounds more like smth a woman would say.
However, I wouldn't trust "I love you" while having sex.

I read a study once about this.
It decided that men are most likely to use the 'Love' word
during/right after sex, universally.

See, they can't help it :-)

Making LOVE happens before, during and after sex.
If you are not experiencing that, you're just having sex.

I think that saying I love you after making love is not definitely an instinctive action .. it's the best moment to say what you really feel .. and if the guy says so, he usually means it. Also, it's not easy for some guys to say those three words .. feels like it makes you vulnerable somehow .. like taking off your armor .. girls are pretty good at using it.
But the guys are different of course ..
If you've reached to that point that have made love with your beloved person already, means you love the guy .. or thought you love .. otherwise you would not have done this, right? If you still have no idea is it love or not, seems you have some doubts about his feelings, or you're not sure about yourself all of sudden.
Well, just give it some time .. and listen to your inner self and heart .. girls should have also such a mysterious creature called intuition .. use it and see what it says.
When the guy says nothing at all and just lights a cigarette after those intimate moments .. it doesn't seem good .. whether he's indifferent to what happened .. or just too shy to say anything at all ..
There are no clear answers to those question .. people are different .. and they tend to act differently, when it comes to such sensitive subject like making love
..

both men and women have been known to lie to keep
what they have going for them..

right up until the time they want something else..

While I can agree with this in general, I'm not convinced that sincerity is the issue at hand.

When I love a woman, I'll scream it from the rooftops.
Making love is just one physical expression of sincerity of the feelings I am ready to scream for anyone to hear.
I never feel I need to express my sincerity only when we are making love.
To assume that I do, cheats the sincerity and honesty I feel with you.
Because, it implies that unless we are making love, I do not feel love for you.

Why is it so that you will not trust i love you during/after making love?
