My Fellow Oregonian told me she had a Southern/Louisana type twang to it when she wants. I didn't believe her but she proved me wrong. Not at all what I was expecting but definitely her personality was in her voice.

And yes a potential mates voice is important to me. If their voice is lower than mine, it's just not going to work out for me. noway If it's a squeaky high voice, it's not going to work out. noway
laugh

But it is fun to have a thought on what someone might sound like based on where they are from how their grammar is when posting here.
I think you sound like Donald trump when he is flirting laugh .., am I close laugh tongue2

I've heard the voices of fellow Minglers. One had a higher pitch than I would have guessed, but very nice and his personality fit that from here.

The second one was a lot deeper than I would have guessed, had the smexy southern drawl I imagined, and his personality fit as well.

The third was just right (reminds me of "Goldilocks and the three bears, lol") His voice was closer to what I imagined and his personality fit his character as well.

The 4th one was scary... Nothing like I imagined, personality did not fit his character here... He had no integrity or honor and a foul mouth. First and last time I will speak with that one.

It's fun to imagine what others sound like of those I meet in the forums, my experience taught me that it's not a good thing to attach the imagined voice to the person... just have fun with it but keep it clear in my mind that they will most likely sound totally different.

Strong accents seem to attract me, especially foreign ones... just something about them that get me all tingly inside smitten blushing
That seems to be a universal thing, so much that I often wish I had a foreign accent, or any accent for that matter ohwell

A question always comes to mind when I hear people talking about foreign accents... Do Americans have foreign accents? slaphead Or just those from other countries. I never hear anyone say "She/He has a smexy American accent. laugh waving

Back in 1980, I fell in love after having heard a lady's voice. I married her. We were married for 30 years when she died over 5 1/2 years ago.

Voice is very important! When I heard his voice the first time I felt like melting in a puddle on the floor, hihi.
Also dated a guy few years back with an awful high-pitched voice that put me off right away.

My voice... soft, warm, and a lot of intonation. I wasn't aware of that last bit, as I'm used to it, but he pointed it out as he loved it. And I giggle a lot too, hihi.

Early on someone told me they were expecting something more like Jeff Spicoli laugh

Only had one squeeker which surprised me. Otherwise the voices seemed to fit....

...and oh YES the Accentslove It's hard to pick a favorite. (Not just saying) Kiwi was lovely...always sounding happy even when cross (and I loved the way she said "deck" lol). Scottish brogue...how could you not? Belgian..French...be still my heart:heart:

There is just something about a lover whose native tongue is Portuguese (Portugal OR Brazil). Everything they say sounds like a song.
laugh Wish I could find the accents thread again.

i can only think of one over the years who's voice didn't fit the person. and yes over the years i have come across grating to my ears voices. but the voice alone wouldn't be enough to turn me off.
and for sure some of the most enticing voices had enticing accents
