Mingle2's Forum Rule #19:

We do not allow posts in search of "nsa hookups" or "friends with benefits." We understand that some of our members may choose to go this route once they meet (we are all adults here). That said, it is not the primary goal of this site and we don't want to encourage people to complicate the already-complex nature of romance.

Friends with benefits?

Eh... I have a diversified portfolio in stocks with a DRIP... Pretty damn good health insurance.. Strong savings account... Blah Blah Blah

I feel those benefits suit me fine...

Thanks for asking.

It works for some people, if both parties are not looking for a committed long term relationship.

The problem also arises when and it generally happens that one of the parties gets emotionally attached .

I have male friends who I have breakfast and lunch with, also walk in park and other activities as well. Great benefits, No sex but Platonic.

Until a committed Relationship comes my way or theirs!!!

Yes. This. I have actually experienced it in reverse in more ways than one (Exes who agree we work out WAY better in the platonic realm).

What's the dental look like?

Kidding! Friends with benefits can be great for those who aren't looking for anything serious. But someone always gets attached and then feelings get hurt. Guess it depends on the people and the situation.
