Topic: Your favourite accent/language and why..

Of cause I love the Aussie accent. Unlike in America it doesn't matter which State you go to we all sound the same although some maybe slower. I like most of the American accents but can't say I like the New York accent. I enjoy some of the Southern ones.. have to listen to some for awhile though.. I think my fav would be French, especially when they speak English (women in particular). I like many of the European's when they are speaking English as I don't understand any except English. I love the Irish, they are a very funny.

Like you I love the french and Irish accent .. .. the Australian and kiwi (though the kiwi accent is prettier .. laughing ) but the accent I adore the most is when fox speaks English .. his mix of Syrian and English is adorable . .. like a very sexy borat !!!

Sign language. Not that crap that's pawned off as sign language. But the sign language the deaf use with other deaf people. Those are the best conversations, and the best accents.

I've never heard the Kiwi accent called pretty before but you do have some funny pronunciations.. fish/fush chips/chups to name a few. The Kiwi's who live on the "West" island are now speaking more with an Aussie accent which means we have something going for us. If you decide to move over don't forget to turn the lights out there.

I don't think i have a favorite in Spanish or in English. I just like hearing how other people talk.

I think the twang/slang is what most people like about the Aussie accent. I guess you would probably like looking at him all day as well as listen. I can understand your "smiley's as I would say he's a handsome guy as well across the pond.

There is much to love about Australia .. I am a big fan and I may well make the move Aussie guy . I would probably choose cairns or one of the whit Sunday islands ..

There is much to love about Australia .. I am a big fan and I may well make the move Aussie guy . I would probably choose cairns or one of the whit Sunday islands .. I haven't been to NZ but all those that I know that have always speak good about it. You couldn't go wrong living up there but if you went up any higher you could end up with that "illness" called "Going Troppo" I lived on the Sunshine Coast for 20 years but moved back to Victoria in 2014 to be closer to my two brothers, one is suffering with macular degeneration plus his retina's are going as well. The worst sense to lose I think.

I'm a little partial to a German accent. With midwest influence. What almost ruined it for me, was german/southern drawl. Oh.....boy, that sounds awfully chopped up. Aussie, is good, it's not like the english mumble I've heard.

Aussie, is good, it's not like the english mumble I've heard. German hasn't been one of my favourites. Not sure what you mean that almost ruined it for you. Many people were sent to the great southern land many years ago as convicts.. for stealing a loaf of bed etc. I suppose being away from their own kind they developed an accent of their own which is common to the whole country, meaning you can't tell which part someone is from.

I'm very partial to the Welsh accent and southern English counties.The only problem with Australians is they speak with their mouths closed.I'm told it's to keep them from swallowing too many flies.

Favorites For a woman: Aussie English (cute) and Gaelic English (sexy) For a man: German English (powerful) and Native American English (wise) For a child: Japanese English and Southern United States English (cute) I do like accents in English (I'm single-language) I can understand some other languages if they are spoken slowly with gestures. Born and raised in the NE United States, people used to notice that accent in me but after living in the south, when I go up to visit, they remark on my southern accent.

I've often though the German and Russian accents are more masculine. I heard a standup comedian talking about different accents and he said they were the least romantic. But I suppose they are to the people of those two countries.
