As the national debate over violent rhetoric rages among politicians, pundits and President Trump, the Republican candidate for governor in Pennsylvania offered the latest case study in partisan rancor on Friday when he threatened to “stomp all over” the Democratic incumbent’s face with his golf spikes.

that statement pales in comparison to the statements made by democrats . "Get in their face" Harrass them and let them know they are not welcome here" or we kick them" not to menchion shooting republicans playing ball. Yea real civil. No comparison no matter what you may think. Your wrong. Democrats have always been the bitter, immature and one sided , close minded and negative party.

saying and doing are two differant things, or are you equating reality w/ non-reality as you do fact w/non-fact. Wake up and admit what is obvious.

I watch American politics with great interest. I do not think I understand all things, I am Australian, but I am fascinated with the aggression and hatred going on between the Republicans and the Democrats.
I do however believe that what affects America will ultimately affect Australia, hence my interest and fascination!
What is going in America at the moment is huge and possibly world changing so hang on guys and fasten your seatbelts because you are in for a rocky ride!
You have my prayers!

First,the thread is about WORDS

and second, whether its words or actions, both sides have people doing it

and third, to be 'in someone's face' does not involve laying hands or violence

we have seen the examples of irresponsible words that may incite violence

and as far as action, do you not remember Trump inviting people to punch people and he would pay the legal fees and then one of his supporters actually PUNCHING a protestor on their way out the door?

you are right, reality is reality, and reality is republicans cannot pretend like the same types of instability dont exist inside their party that exist inside democrats ...

I agree. Really, any candidate from any party speaking in such a manner(blatantly violent intentions) about another candidate deserves to lose as well.

Thats obviously not true. I am liberal. I have never been violent. Im not a member of any pack.

There are bad people out there who wish to convince you that hating and fearing the group theyre against is necessary. They use your fears to get you to join them.

Bad people are on all sides. They want us to hate each other. Lets be annoying and not do that for them. LOL.

Youre referring to extremists. Not any political party, or ideology. We should all be afraid of extremists.

No one is saying it doesn't exist in both parties, but to compare that one is as bad as the other is ludicrous . No republicans go to an individuals home to harass and incite . No republicans go to a public gathering to harass and incite an individual , no republicans jerk a hat off a kids head and throws a drink in his face. To be honest Republicans are the more civil, after all the attacks perpetrated by the left, and none have taken an a** whipping yet. The republicans hold the high ground for now!
