My 94 year old father still drives. I don't want to be in a car with him.

I just have my butler call Jeeves, my chauffeur, who lives in the apartment over my carriage house on the intercom to bring the limo around when I need to go somewhere.

Okay Smartazz, can you tell him to come pick me up and take me back to Traverse City? Colorado isn't too far away OT... Yes I can drive a vehicle, legally too But I don't have one at the moment, so use the public transportation to get around. |

I can send my Lear Jet if you aren't afraid to fly but you'll need to get a parachute and jump out when it's over TC. |

I still drive but my health limits the distance and duration.
July 1977 till today. Nobody drives my truck but me (except extreme circumstances) but if she wants to drive, I have no problem being a passenger in her car. I have dated women without a car and that was kinda difficult but workable. When I married my X she didn't drive. I prefer a woman that has her own car and is able to drive. Most times, I prefer to drive. |

I still drive at 69 but would not want to have to be reliant on the buses which always come at inconvenient times.
My Father drove till he was 92 at which point he gave me the keys. |

I hate driving. People are too stupid and just getting worse. I drive and have my own vehicle and all, but I hate it.

If I ever reach the point where I cannot drive, I'll have to find a driver! Public transportation is not an acceptable option! Some weeks, less than a hundred miles; some weeks, over a thousand.

I just got a New 2018 car last October , so I plan to keep driving.

I'm still young enough to be 'busy' - always wanting to get there quickly. A ten minute car journey takes longer by bus than if I walk it!

Some people who don't own a vehicle still want to drive.....some of them have asked to use one of my vehicles so they actually get to drive.
They don't get to drive my vehicle, they get to drive me crazy!!! But I drive some of them crazy too when I tell them they can't drive one of my vehicles over and over again!! |

I'll be getting a vehicle with the next couple of months... It's been a really long time. I'm looking forward to the freedom and independence it gives me.
The places I can go so much easier I used to love to just get in the car and drive where every I wanted... road trips are definitely in the near future! |

My medium size car is great for everything except the very hot weather we had last year in England. For that I need to get the little sports convertible out of the garage and then I can really enjoy driving!

Someday if social security makes me rich I'm going to find an old 1962 Studebaker Hawk. Then replace the engine with the biggest engine that will fit under the hood. BTW, Studebaker's were built in South Bend Indiana. I grew up there and originally owned a 1962 Studebaker Lark. The Studebaker Hawk was Stude's answer to the Ford T-Bird. In South Bend Hawk's were very popular. The average high school guys owned Larks. The well to do owned either a Hawk or a T-Bird. |

If I had the money I would seriously consider a Tesla, but probably only for local driving. There's plenty of places here to 'fill up' but if driving further away I would need to check before I started the journey.
I think the future is probably Hydrogen powered cars. As clean as an electric car and as quick to fill up as a petrol car. There's a few available now in the UK, but the filling stations are few and far between. When they become as common as electric fuelling places, I do think they will take off and I will look again at the available models. |
