PLUS,as the video of her that her opponents dug up,and posted online to 'TRY' to embarrass her shows, she is also cute as a button, and is an EXCELLENT dancer!!

Heck, I have college friends that fit THAT description. I guess Dems are dumber than I thought if they consider cute and dancer as a reason to vote for someone.

We aren't here for a long time, we are here for a good time. The world was already pretty screwed up when I was born, and it will be even more screwed up when I die. It may be selfish to say, but I'm going to enjoy my life while I'm here.

Let me say, as a democrat, that I doubt most educated Americans (and they tend to register democrat) vote for someone based on being cute or a dancer.

Although, I can see where it may help with relatability, the way being NON PC(the way many wish they could be in their own lives) and an icon of 'wealth' helps some Americans relate enough to someone to vote for them.

I'm sure though, that on both sides, there will also be OTHER reasons that contribute to a choice.

To the topic of the OP. AOC is young, still in her twenties, and inexperienced. A position as a district rep is the right place for her to start learning and growing. I hope she uses the opportunity to do so, and isn't stuck in the all too common belief of already knowing everything.

Just the overture has started. We haven't even seen the curtain raise for the first act. How big an egg will this play, lay? (And how bad will that egg stink?)

Ahh, the smell is coming around.

A division is starting, Socialist democrats. Pelosi is getting to play second fiddle to AOC & company. Since when did we have to even think about anti semitism in congress? Now we do. Adam Schiff is busier trying to get rid of Trump, than to do his job. Eight committees have been formed to find some dirt on Trump and company.

Dems in the house are doing what was predicted- nothing productive, except trying to force Trump out of office. In its simplest form, its called-

Lying to the public.

I'm all for bouncing out socialists from holding public office. If dems had any backbone, they wouldn't have allowed bernie to run for president in 2016, because he isn't technically a democrat. They brought it on themselves-ha ha.

8 committees have been formed to find dirt on Trump? Jesus wtf
A blind man holding a telescope the wrong way round could tell he's filthier than a raccoons backside in 2 seconds flat.
But people do love a committee
I wonder if Trump is selling them clipboards

Dont believe everything people claim in these threads without research R2.

Here are the committees tied to Trump (and when the committees were formed)
http://www.voanews.com/a/upcoming-investigations-by-house-committees/4743213.html

House Intelligence Committee(1976)
Financial Services Committee(1968)
Foreign Affairs Committee(2007)
House Judiciary Committee(1813)
Ways and Means Committee(1802)
Oversight and Reform Committee(1952)

to put it in perspective, no committees have been 'formed' to investigate Trump
six committees, however, ARE investigating Trump

Congress has 48 committees
you can read about them and their history and purpose here

http://www.congress.gov/committees

36, standing
8, select
4, joint

I literally skimmed the first few paragraphs.
Oligarchs huh, they're the new shiekhs.
Thank you for that.
But, erm, I hate committees, they can stick their clipboards where the sun don't shine.
Let's have a meeting, about what our meeting should be about. Let's form a committee, that can form committees, that can oversee the committees, that they form. We'll all have clipboards, and we can sound important, and tut derisively, like this, tut, pffft, write that on the clipboard, put it in the moments, we'll review it, at our next meeting

Their only authority is to keep the authority of those WITH authority over the population in check, which I think is well needed.

Look at the long list of Democratic women, NONE of them are even slightly attractive let alone cute. Not even the Horse Faced AOC.

They only one who is remotely attractive is Senator Sinema.

The right place for her to start would have been working as an intern, then as a staffer for years. She has no experience, no one would hire her with her college degree so has zero experience, and barely has life experience. That is NOT someone we need in Congress. She's toxic and even the Dems are keeping her at arms distance.

She interned at ICE. THere are plenty who started in politics without interning first. Seems like there doesnt need to be a different standard for a woman.

The district has only about half a million people in it. New York has 27 districts. With her internship in ICE and her civic duties IN that district for hispanics who make up nearly HALF, I think repping them is a good place for her to start. People say if you want change to run for office, I have heard it many times here. They usually do not imply you must intern for an office first. District rep is one of the lowest positions in the government structure, so I feel it is a good place for a 'start' with 'authority'.

Funny voice, funny orange color(Trump), funny vocabulary(Bush), funny clumsiness(Ford), there is no shortage of little things that comedians can poke fun at with any candidate or politician.

McConnell wanted to pin down those who supported that silly mess in the senate. 57-0 means to me that 42 would consider it. They're just hiding behind that "Present" vote.
