When viewing a profile male or female, what things would make you think twice when looking for a potential partner/relationship or friend?

Here are one or two of my put offs ~

1. They show the top half of their body, naked.
2. They are laying on a bed or couch in a seductive way
3. They are holding an alcoholic drink or cigarette in their hand or are surrounded by
alcohol.
4. Misspelt words.
5. They are clearly lying about their age.
6. They are 30 years your junior and their starting line is "Hey Babe"?

Do you have any pet peeves?

What does “your junior” mean? I never have understood that. Thanks! :innocent:

It means younger than you happy

LOL, what about all these 20 somethings, looking for 45 to 60+ somethings??

to the question of the thread,
the only thing that really bugs me are completely blank profiles with just a name age and location.
the rest, well, we are all adults here. we can all ways say, we are not interested.

though, personally I might caution people about posting pics with their kids. on an adult dating site. strictly as a safety concern.

I have to agree about that, especially the kids for safety!

Men taking photos in the bathroom; nasty. Men taking pictures with their toys or shirtless, is not impressive to me either.

Here is what I don't understand, this is a dating site so why do so many people fill out a false place of living? It is not right and it is very frustrating, contacting some one or even matching up with some one only to find out if they respond to your message that they live on the other side of the world and not in the place that their profile states they live.

Why join a dating site if you can't be honest as to where you live.

How do you all feel about that?

They are scammmers. They have to say early on that they are in another country. Or the victim will react when money should be sent to Africa instead of listed country. Always ask early on for a picture where the person holds a sign with your name or site name or daily newspaper. It's an easy task to do today and if they not willing, say goodbye and move on. If for some reason you have got so far as exchanged e-mails. Regularly check their IP address. That it checks out with the place they say their from.

Women who looks for younger men puts me of from contacting them. Two reasons I fail to comply with their demands and it's just immature and stupid for a women to engage in a serious relationship with a ten year younger man. It will not last 99% of the time. Better for them to just write " I am tired of little blue pills swallowed down into a pot belly. And want to get laid and feel attractive again".

I do understand that there are also a lot of scammers here, and I do know how to weed those out. And if your profile does not even have a profile picture, you can send me as many messages as you want you will not get a response from me. But still it bugs me that people don't even dare to use their own place where they live and have to lie about that. Even a scammer should know by now that it will raise an automatic red flag if the next line in a reply is "no I don't live there, I am actually in......." And yes I also know how to check an ip address from received emails.

Still it boggles my mind, are people really that dumb that they still fall for these so obvious scams????

Yes they do! And the money the industry generates is huge. Unfortunately dating sites don't want to stop it. They get a lot of gorgeous profiles that attract new members. People can't resist a wink from a photo model! Or a guy in uniform!

I am sick and tired of getting hunreds of 'likes' from women in their 20's and who obviously live abroad. Even if they didn't do they really think I am dumb enough to believe that the see a man in his late 50's as a romantic partner. The others that annoy are those who claim to live in the UK and you can tell very easily they don't. They must think all men are complete idiots.

So true, in my opinion any respectable dating site would do their best to eliminate those scammer profiles from their site. But yes I agree on your view of "it generates too much money" for the people running the site. Being in the late 50's myself also, I also noticed that trent of socalled young women wanting to "hookup" as they call it with an much older man, I guess they think at our age we are set money wise and all that and they think or hope to snare a "sugardaddy".

Sure I would like to find some one again to have a good conversation with, enjoy a meal or movie, someone to share life with.

But it seems not possible even on this site and this is a site that rated in the top 5 in Europe. Clearly some body needs to reconsider that ranking. All I know is I will not be renewing my subscription here when its up. I don't have the time to spend to sift daily through all the fake profiles that click on mine with a match.
