I think love is a selflessness that wishes for another as much joy and health for another as one wishes for themself, not just in a lip service and on the surface kind of way, but deeply and truly.
we can have love that stems from a biological bond like family, or from a bonding of experiences and moments like friends, or from a friendly bond of experiences and moments coupled with a desire to share one life, like in romance. |

I agree love can be complicated... because we have many feelings to narrow down Love ...
it can be a smiling face you see when you do see them look at you and you smile back just by being in their company ... it is understanding ... its honestly ... also caring for one another ... when I think about loves in my life ... their where only 3 ... that I really thought I loved ... one as a young girl ... he resided to have a affair because... he did not get much from me ... so I was hurt ... never took him back ... second abused because he was not happy and felt he loved another and got angry and hit me and threw things at me ... so for me that left a opened door ... nxt mental abuse for many yrs ... + anger an broke things... when his anger struck ... + had a affair ... now this was a long time relationship ... an I had a wonderful child ... and was blessed ... but even then never stopped his anger ... so I got into taking care of my girl and doing for her at school ... as I worked ... and took care of house... yard... cleaned and cooked ... was never enough ... did not stop abuse ... and went for another affair ... and that latter left a open door ... as his abuse shoved me out ... but he left me broken ... he just had to say this one thing to me ... which was so abusive... I thought it true ... but later learned that was his life not mine ... so been hard to trust ... and hard to really want to connect with someone that I thought would be good for me ... so just looking for the kind of love I want ... and that would be non abusive ... because i know every one is different ... and men are not all the same ...
