I find no reason to lie initially, because if you get into a relationship with someone, you can only keep up that pretense for so long, then the real you comes out, so...better to be real and authentic from the start...  you might have to open my cage

I usually say what I actually think, here as in real life I try to be as honest as possible. Sometimes, I will say more in the forums, especially when someone asks my opinion, than I would in casual conversation in real life. I'm quite outgoing for an introvert and being Irish, I'm remarkably charming in person.  Do you have that gorgeous Irish brogue? Same, I am an introvert/extrovert, but I need time to recharge as an empath. People can drain me or influence me with their moods. Happy Mingling ros:e:   I lost that when I started school here about the age of five. Ah well, can't have everything I suppose.  I know what you mean by being drained by others, that's why I'm often quiet for a while on the forums, especially after encountering scepticism or out and out insult. |

Totally real here -though I think people are so deep/complicated and have had so many experiences that getting to know each other is a never-ending process. Fortunately -given honesty and openness -you can know the basics fairly quickly. |

i just mis pressed and it brought up hendrixfans profile and i have to say ladies, this guy's profile is one if the most honest direct profiles you will ever find, honesty and kindness etc are hard to come by, so any ladies in his area, he seems a really cool guy & would make a nice lady very happy. that what i read.
there are many profiles on here that say nothing really, it makes it hard to know if someone is real, so thank you sir, it's good to know there are honest people around the world, and got it was OK to post here, I've now forgotten what the topic was about lol have nice day everyone bye |

What you say in a forum, like Mingle2, is it what you would say to people in day to day, face to face living? Do you feel you represent yourself accurately, as much as can be, when on the internet? Would you say what you say on the forums, in real life? Musta missed this one, or I had no comment till now. I've been online communicating with others since 1998 (got my first home computer). I've had a number of personas, each with their own attitudes. I've had personas on different websites with attitudes slanted to the subject material of the sites. In all personas, all attitudes had some degree of my real honesty. That's because wherever I go, there I am. About 10 years ago I started frequenting dating sites. One thing I learned early on is lying ruins dating. As time progressed, my personas started reflecting more and more of me. At present, I am who and what I claim to be. My personas and the attitudes I adopted to maintain them is gone. You either like me for who I really am or you don't. This is my mentality both online and off. One thing you might want to be aware of when dealing with me, I write better than I talk. I have plenty of time and don't mind typing. I tend to try to be tactful now. Frankly, if I can't say something neutral or good, I tend to not say it. I'm opinionated but I try to respect that others have different opinions. When I'm wrong, I can admit I was wrong but when I'm right, and I know I'm right, I try to respectfully show others why I know I am right. If an impasse happens, I'm usually able to let it go, unless its really important. Even then, I refrain from childish tactics to win or belittle others. I grew up a long time ago. As for saying in the forums aligning with what I say in real life. Sometimes. Sometimes I dumb it down for forums. Sometimes I need to use description and examples to press a feeling or gesture but the ideas and incentives are similar. The method of communication is different. Most of the time there is a miscommunication in forum discussion it is due to my inability to properly convey my expressions to the readers. Sometimes it is the reader's inability to understand my intent. Often creating hidden meanings from face value input. This is why I tend to have long exhaustive posts. |

we've all have to come to the fact that we are adults and responsible for our actions. knowing quite well that comouflage cannot last forever. I don't have such times because I am me whether you like my personality or not does not reduce me. let me remain to myself whereby I will and can always says this is my uncompromised.
