I vote to return to the former format...now my incomplete message is sent before I am ready when all i was trying to do was format it for clarity...

New format sucks. End of story.

Techs could use their time more productively, like rooting out repetitive scam profiles.

On the plus side, I do like being able to see their profile without having to click on it. And it includes the Smiley's so that's kind of cool too.

I agree, my vote is in and I normally do not vote.
I also only access M2 on a PC.

I also add my vote to changing it back. I am almost an old dog and you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

One big problem I see is what maybwecan mentioned. I was just messaging someone and when I hit the enter key on my keyboard to go down a line, it sent the message. There's no way to make paragraphs, it ends up being one big paragraph with the words and sentences broken up.

All the above posts say it all. We are getting older now, our eyesight is not as grand as it used to be.
Please change our messages back to the old format, so we can all grow older and hopefully wiser together.

Ok finely figured out how to send a message, but the spellchecker is not working. No I cannot spell

Automatic spell-checking is only turned on for text boxes containing more than one line, where you can enter as much text as you want.

At least I was able to answer this question.

On the upside..you can now read/reply to an email and stay on the
email page in preparation for clicking on the next email in queue.

You also now see profile stats on your emailer, to the right..that
will cut down profile-looking time tremendously.

Needs fixing..requires a font wrap for sentences so they do not
end in the middle of a word.

Also, in removing the bulk 'DELETE' option, one must now do that
one by one..very time consuming..and no single DELETE option
on the INBOX page.

The 'ENTER' key now triggers SEND.

Trying to read what you just wrote is difficult because of the size
of the text box which is now limited to the number of lines you wrote.

quite simply put you made the mail on the full site as small and cluttered as an app on a phone and this is NOT a phone why waste all the screen space
case in point the one plus to the change is the profile inclusion yet you made it that much to small and hence the need to scroll it to get the last bit of it in view. why????

again this is the full site used in full sized machines. why why why would you think this undersized over cluttered form is is better or even worth the time it took the improperly create it?

I don't send a lot of messages so whatever. it's a little annoying that the words get split and we cannot do paragraphs anymore. oh well

Well, I am glad for all of you that you *apparently* can open messages..
I can't...I hover and click on one of the new messages, and...nothing happens....

The new mail format? Hate it. I just wind up deleting everyone.

Go to Google settings (if you used Google as browser), go to Advanced Settings and you will find Spellcheck there. It must be off... so turn it on.
