Absolutely.

There are all sorts of variations on it..demisexual as well.

Just because someone doesn't believe it doesn't mean it doesn;t exist..
Unless you have experienced it, you can;t possibly understand it.

Some people enjoy food more than sex, grinn..
It's the libido that's important hence age and health are decisive factors.

Biblically it's not a sin to be asexual or demisexual but one can't crave for the opposite sex.

I dated one for a year.
She thought that when I turned 50 yo I would stop suggesting we have sex.
Only when I'm cold and dead will sex not interest me.

Then you are not Asexual.

Perhaps this will help those who are confused:

I do not even know what that means and do not really care. Too many 'labels' have been created in my lifetime. All I need to know is, do they sleep with same sex partners, are they single, and what is their interest in ME? The first is a deal breaker, the second is a requirement, and the last one is informative.

Yes, I don't consider it a sexual orientation though, but more so a sign of some sort of dysfunction, either emotional or mental. Most of these new sexual orientations are more so emotional or mental disorders of some sort, IMO. I don't really mean that they are mental/emotional disorders, it's different for each person and there are many factors to consider as to why one would associate with one or more sexual orientations, so really it comes down to each individual person but associating with a particular sexual orientation isn't a sole factor in how I judge or perceive a person. It depends on the kind of relationship I'm open to with that person as to how significant it would be though. Most relationships I'm open to with people it would be about as meaningful as their preference towards a particular color.

Everyone has the right to believe what they feel is correct for them. The problems start when that individual begins to think everyone must think the same way as the individual believes. No one has that right or power to demand that from anyone!

I am asexual, demi sexual to be precise, and it took me some time to get my head around it because of the common misconception that all asexuals do not have sex. Some of us do, some of us do not.
I always knew the lgbtqa community was there and so anyone can be what ever they like.
For me i do not fall in love with someone, i will have friendship love/deep connection with. Only then can i be intimate with them. But just because i am intimate with someone, does not mean they are my partner. But one day i wish to find a companion who i would like to join my household and be intimate with.
I will say that i have to be friends with someone first, then develop a deep connection with someone before i feel comfortable enough to be intimate with someone.
It is not like this for everyone, this is just what it js to me.

Sure.

But there's a difference between simple "believe them" and "believe them, accept it, give a crap, and do something about it/have it affect me in any way."

There are a number of types of asexual reproduction including fission, fragmentation, budding, vegetative reproduction, spore formation and agamogenesis. Many organisms can reproduce sexually as well as asexually. Aphids, slime molds, sea anemones, some species of starfish (by fragmentation), and many plants are examples. While parthenogenesis makes it possible for human females to reproduce without males, males have no way to reproduce without females.

In humans, the fertilization event is an instance of allogamy. Self-fertilization occurs in hermaphroditic organisms where the two gametes fused in fertilization come from the same individual. This is common in plants (see Sexual reproduction in plants) and certain protozoans.

True hermaphroditism, clinically known as ovotesticular disorder of sex development, is a medical term for an intersex condition in which an individual is born with ovarian and testicular tissue. More commonly one or both gonads is an ovotestis containing both types of tissue.

Cisgender (sometimes cissexual, often abbreviated to simply cis) is a term for people whose gender identity matches the sex that they were assigned at birth. For example, someone who identifies as a woman and was assigned female at birth is a cisgender woman. The term cisgender is the opposite of the word transgender.

Definition of gender-fluid. : of, relating to, or being a person whose gender identity is not fixed There are also people who identify as “gender fluid,” a mix of both genders, and may feel more male on some days and more female on others.

A literal dictionary definition of bisexuality, due to the prefix bi-, is sexual or romantic attraction to two sexes (males and females), or to two genders (men and women). Pansexuality, however, composed with the prefix pan-, is the sexual attraction to a person of any sex or gender.

Someone who is asexual doesn't experience sexual attraction and/or doesn't desire sexual contact. Asexuals may also use shorthand like “Ace” to describe their sexual orientation. An asexual person can be straight, gay, bisexual or queer because sexual attraction is only one kind of attraction.

It's 2020. Considering some of the stuff that I have been told people are (over the last few years), I believe anything....I'd even believe it if you said you came from another planet.

Coming from planets is a different sexual orientation.
