Still implies that I loved it at one time. Never liked 80's metal or much other 80's music. As far as I was concerned, Nirvana was the best thing to happen to rock since the late 70's and I wasn't even a Nirvana fan...

I love Bruce Dickinson voice (Iron Maiden of course), Metallica and more, but to be honest I did not know them in the 80's or rather I had other taste. Among recent groups I love Greta Van Fleet, maybe because my knowledge of Led Zeppelin was at the time limited

Agreed, Like I said, the list of bands were off the top of my head. There's others too. My first Blackfoot album was No Reservations. I also liked the band Spirit who did I Got A Line On You. Yup, so they were active in the 80s. They were still actively getting radio play in Cleveland, OH. The home of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. WMMS The Buzzard was primarily a hard rock/metal radio station. Rock 101 was 'coined' the Disco Destroyer too. Rock 101 had its funding pulled in the early 80s because it would not conform to advertisers pressure to play 'tamer' music. They played hard rock and heavy metal uncut and uncensored. |

Anyone still love the 80s rock like Dio.. Twisted Sister, Metallica, Van Halen etc I listen to that stuff like everyday. Maiden, preist and all of the hair bands. Can't wait until the new Iron Maiden album comes out which should be soon.
