In my opinion it's not good at all, we should go out more and meet people face to face... if possibly and in my case if I was less shy

I'm pretty sure you'll do enough talking for both of you. She can just sit there and look purty.

Ha! Poppashroom and I talked for 7 hours a day on WhatsApp for seven months. When he came to me from England, I knew him. I think that was healthy to not get physical and really know each other as friends, then lovers.

Some are leaders and social butterflies. Some are not. I like LP's posts. He chats and instigated chats. If nobody creates threads, what do we chat about? Yawn

It's not really handy, no. You can come to think you have a great think going and you found the one, then meet in RL and nothing. Not even food for conversation, just nothing.

So it is best to meet each other as soon as you can.
When that isn't possible due to living far apart then at the very least go to phoning each other and video calls. And still meet as soon as you can.

I agree!

The curiosity, intrigue, and excitement of possibly meeting the one for you can keep the conversation flowing for hours. But, if there isn't chemistry between the two of you, which you can't know until you meet face to face, then conversation will come to a halt once you meet.

On the other hand, some might just be nervous. If you have two introverts who can talk behind the scenes (online) really well, then they meet face to face, they could have a problem if both are waiting for the other to begin the conversation.

Could be a number of reasons, so it's always best to meet face to face as soon as possible. Or do as Crystal said and go to talking on the phone and doing video calls, until you are able to meet face to face. That will at least ease the nervousness of meeting someone for the very first time face to face.

Can't say the same myself. I generally ignore my messages. Local dating is hookups, so I prefer to meet people in real life situations.
I am joining local groups, like a poetry thing, writers things and some artistic groups to meet real, compatible peeps.

Yep! And the added bonus is hearing their voice. This can be a noway but also a smitten smooched I've had both scenarios, haha.
So much can be felt and picked up from someone's voice.

I do lots of activities with volunteer workers here. I have social interaction and dates right here in my City myself.

I'm not online in desperation for any Date .:grinning:

Is Chatting for Long Hours Good For Health ??????

I've never actually had nothing to say, ever, face-face.
I have had long duration chat/messaging.
Its been my experience the longer the duration of chat/messaging/phoning the less likely a real time face to face meet is going to happen.
I've no determination of how long it takes to determine that but the longer the 'chat' the less likely the 'meet'.

When I was younger (before internet) I participated in pen pal letters. Most of the pen pals I corresponded with never actually met me. The few pen pal love affairs never actually became real enounters. This is because one of us always became involved with someone else locally.

Another thing I noticed. Lovers I've had in home port and exchanged letters with while I was deployed over seas, often ended with a "Dear John" or "Dear Jane" letter. This is because there is a big difference from distant relationships than real time in your face relationships. Oh, it can work for a little while but if the separation is too long, the passion wanes.

Social interaction is good for human's health.
This is because humans are social creatures.
Human beings respond favorably to being touched.
We need physical contact to generate the favorable chemistry needed in a relationship.
We are 'soothed' by a warm embrace.
Our minds are soothed by the anticipation of a warm embrace.
Problem with long duration chatting is the anticipation wanes with time.
The chatting can actually cause turmoil and stress without the reinforcement of the warm embrace.
