Over the last few days I watched all Hunger Games movies. I don't think I will be watching them again any time soon. They really began to get on my nerves.
Her constant shrieking "Peeta! Peeta!" Someone should've duct-taped her mouth shut.
Peculiar how you also notice the illogical & total BS stuff that you missed the first times around.

Hotel Rwanda...
Not a movie you really would want to see, at the same time a movie everyone SHOULD see.
At the time of this happening I was end 20s, raising my family, not really interested in news. I do recall hearing 'hutsis and tutsis' on the news all the time and getting fed up with it, not really knowing what was going on. Sort of like "yet another war in Africa".
It wasn't until I saw The Long Way Down, in which Ewan McGregor & Charlie Boorman drive through Rwanda and visited the Church of Bones in Kigala, that I researched what happened. And that I understood it wasn't 'Hutsis' but "Hutus".
It's unbelievable that Rwanda is now just about the safest country in Africa to go to. In a city the Long Way Down guys went to people were friendly, modern, and it was like a Western city really.
They also were invited to visit the president?! He's quite something. Made sure he will remain president for all his life, hihi.
In any case, it's good to know the country is seemingly at peace. What a history...

Sorry for the long story, but the movie moved me deeply.

Castaway with Tom hanks .
Iโ€™ve only ever watched bits of this movie over the years , so thought Iโ€™d watch it as a whole , and I thought it was really good , albeit a sadness to it

most disappointing Tom Hanks movie I ever half watched... Tom is a great actor , but the movie sucked !!! not entertained at all !!!!

Good we all have different taste: I liked Castaways, for me one of Tom Hanks' movies I enjoyed. The others are the Robert Langdon movies. He did other good ones, but also a number that almost everyone raves about that I really don't like. Forest Gump is one. Never seen it, likely never will either, hihi.

The Church of Bones isn't a movie. In the travel docu "The Long Way Down" Ewan McGregor (Obi Wan) and his mate Charlie Boorman go through Africa on bikes and also crossed Rwanda. There they visit this Church of Bones, where lord knows how many bones are kept on shelves, and clothes and shoes on separate shelving, incl all that from kids, as a reminder of the genocide. Many skulls had markings of machetes or bullets.
It was incredibly sad to see, and those two guys, being there, were both very affected by it.

Now I can't find anything when searching Church of Bones, I would've sworn they called it like that. Anywho... it's Nyamata Church.
Here is a photo of part of the bone "collection". I will post a link, not the photo so that if you don't want to see you can forego it, and anyone else who could find that shocking.

K-19 The Widow Maker
Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson...
Based on a true story of a Russian nuclear sub that they basically prematurely take out into the oceans, almost created a humungous nuclear disaster.

Not too bad but not my thing really. Doubt I'll ever watch it again.

I watched a WHOLE BUNCH of bad movies.
A few were worth mentioning...

Scarlett (2020) m stone b krause 4.8 spy action
Actually not bad for a Brian Krauss movie. I rerate it to a 5.8 rating because it was one worth watching.

Infinite (2021) m wahlberg 5.6 reincarnation scifi
I rerate this at a 6.6 because it has some pretty intense action sequences.
I also thought the story was well written.

Occupation Rainfall (2020) d ewing t morrison d gillies 5.0 alien invasion/war
Gotta give this one a 6.0 rating because of the intense action and the great special effects. At the end it says Chapter 1 so I guess there will be a sequel, I hope so...

The Unhealer (2020) n henstridge l henriksen 4.0 superpowers revenge antihero
I'm not really sure why I sat thru this movie but I did. Its bad on many levels but bad like a syfy original.
