I have a few project cars that take a lot of my time.
and I like going to car events. cruze ins, sho n shines. or just drives in the country and a pic nick. I dint see any one talking on this, so I thought I would ask. currently I have a couple mid 70's monte carlo's and a 80's t-bird. I know it's generally considered a guy thing. but, I thought it could be something some women also enjoy. so I thought I'ld ask. |

I bought the last Monte Carlo off the '74 line at GM in Fremont
had to give up the roof window as they already closed the line.. sold it to 2 guys in Iran a few years later because it had no catalytic converter which they did not want. Loved that car, I got tilt/turn driver seat, so you could exit the seat in a mini skirt ;-) Every bang and whistle. Cranberry with a black Landau roof..I could have lived in it ;-) |

yah, the swivel seats were pretty cool.
I have standard buckets in one, and a bench in the other, that I have modified/ modernized by sinking a seat console into it. both are factory landou's ones a 350/ 350, the others a 350/ 400 their both just drivers. not high end show quality, trailer queens. but that makes them more fun. because your not afraid to drive them. |

They are a lot of car, I have never seen a repeat of that hood, have you? actually come to think of it.. a lot of the full sized cars from the mid 70's had them. the chrysler cordoba/ dodge charger/fury were also built similarly. |

I haven't owned a classic car in like 30 years. Had a 69 Hurst Olds until somebody hit me from behind and totaled it out. It wasn't till after that happen I knew how rare those things actually were.

I go to car shows from time to time. One year in Idaho Falls, the summer car show was featuring Corvettes. Every year of Corvettes were featured, at least one or two cars. There were probably around 200 cars.

There were probably around 200 cars. I know they always have Corvette rallies in Sturgis. I still think that the 1963 split window Corvette was the best model they ever made. |

I've all ways owned classic cars. their easy to work on, and no computers to cause problems. nothing high dollar tho. I like to enjoy driving them. and not have to worry about the loss of investment. my work truck is a dodge aspen service wagon. think station wagon with paneled windows and no back seat. |

Had a two door '64 Buick LeSabre coupe -original v8 (300?) with high compression/aluminum heads.
A couple of 1978 VW transporters -2000cc -one a campmobile with poptop from the factory -another I converted. Original '74 F100 Custom long bed with a 305 -3 in a tree. Now have a huge '74 Dodge Maxi Wagon van with a 360 -727 -3.23 limited slip. Converting it to a camper -just fits a twin mattress -sideways! 12 feet from rear door to back of front seat (4x8 sheets fit through rear doors). would love to put a poptop on it with the bed up top for more room below. Originally a passenger van, but still looks mean with rims and beefy tires. Has like 12 windows all around -15 if you count windshields and vents. Most of the interior pulled to be customized and the outside could be prettier -needs seals, but I got it when they were talking recurring stimulus which did not happen, so has to wait. Made an observation deck in it for my pups -they love it, so I love it. |

Made an observation deck in it for my pups -they love it, so I love it. dont laugh too hard about this, but I have a 95 grand voyager(the extended version) that I converted into a camper as well. there was just enough room behind the rer seat to build a cabenet with a propane cook stove slide out with the seat folded down I put a foam pad matress on top, put the center bench side ways and a fold out table in the center behind the front passenger seat. even installed a full intertainment center, TV/DVD,AM FM emergencey band. CD and video games. and an awning mounted to the roof rack. regular home away from home. |

I forgot, that was also a full body frame, not a uni body. of coarse today you can bet a brand new frame thats 3 times stronger tan the original ever was. |

I had a marty report filed on my thunder bird. to find out it;s factory history of production. bexause some one told me. it was a pretty rare model, when I received the report, it turned out that it was a 1 of one. there was no others built that year exactly like it.

I got a notice from the Illinois tollway system that the car blew through some tolls last month. I haven't been south of the Wisconsin border in years, and never use the tollways. |

C-5 blazer? if so did you add a trans cooler as well??? my buddy says, it helps keep the trans fluid from cooking if you do a lot of trails. |
