Bunny Rabbits have nothing to do with Resurrection Sunday many Christians celebrate.

And Rabbits don't lay eggs.

Easter is commercialized for decades.

Study your Bible for Truth about Birth, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I agree. This is the day of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Let us celebrate with him on this day and remember he suffered for our sins on the cross. Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday.

What we have labeled EASTER has a different date each year. It's not like the 4th of July. It is the first Sunday after the full Moon that occurs on or after the spring equinox. It's a day set aside to celebrate the Risen Christ.

Rabbits are great animals, but they have NOTHING to do with Jesus breaking the chains of Death and Rising again to rule forever. I dont see any business or company making chocolate crosses and wrapping them in gold. If we want to celebrate chocolate Rabbits and chocolate Eggs...let's set aside one day a year to do it. We have a day for everything else. Its a shame that our children don't know what Easter really is... in fact, most people MY age are not celebrating our Lord. They are happy if their family gets together for a meal.

I do not have time nor desire to write how Easter got it's name - just be assured it has Nothing to do with Jesus.

I agree BirdWatch. Some of our Christian holidays have gone beyond what they represent and have become so commercialized. Early in American history settlers eventually combined both Christian tradition with pagan ones and they continue still today.

Thank you Monica and praise God and Jesus!
I should also add to my top post that businesses take advantage of those holidays by selling all the stuff you can eat to your hearts content so they can make a quick buck (I should know since I work for a grocery store). Thank you Jesus for all you’ve done and still continue to do!
