when a child is abducted, raped and killed
when so many bad things happen to really good people and yet child molesters and rapest and murderers go on doing what they do
where is this so called great and loving god
we are on our own here people
and if there really is some kind of god out there
letting these things happen i'll be damned if i will worship him or even want to be with him when i pass on

Sad to say that we do not live in a sinless world.God does not wish bad things on anyone.
If God is all good and all powerful, why do the innocent suffer? Here we have to admit our partial ignorance. We do not have the full explanation of the origin and problem of evil because God has chosen to reveal only a part to us.God created the universe perfect;mankind, through free will, chose to obey.Evil came into the universe through man's disobedience.Because mankind disobeyed and broke God's law, evil pervades the universe.
We must not overlook the presence of evil in every one of us.If God executed judgement uniformily, not one of us would survive.Suppose God were to decree,"At midnight tonight all the evil will be stamped out of the universe."Which of us would be here at 1:00a.m.?"
After pointing out man's personal problem with evil,we need to know that God has done everything necessary to meet these problems. He came into human history in the Lord Jesus Christ, and He died to solve this problem.Every individual who willingly responds receives His gift of love, grace, and forgiveness in Jesus Christ.C.S.Lewis has observed that it is idle for us to speculate about the problem of evil. The problem we all face is the fact of evil. The only solution to this fact is God's Son,Jesus Christ.
I hope that this answers your question. And I pray that you continue to look for God and find answers through His Word and through prayer.Sincerely in Christ,Rose

When was the last time you shook hands with god? so how do you really know? It says so in the bible? its a book written by man nothing else.

And don't give me faith. Blind faith is for weak minded people that have no confindence in themselves.

Ummmmm.....when a fabricated, elevated position is created, ( sort of like a mythical comicbook superhero)
and is not forth coming, (in superhero prowess) when the chips are down,
is it the author of the fabrication, or the fabrication one blames???

I missed the memo... can someone enlighten me?

just a general observation

why is it when bad things happen

so many say --- how can god let this happen

(even a few there is no god people have done this)

but when good things happen so many think it is

because they are so smart and they caused it to happen

i find this very disturbing

if bad there is no responsibility

but if good so many want to take credit

---

just a thought

but hey what do i know

I think it is the blame game, Robin. I think it works like this. You just take all the world's problem and just blame it on some person, thing or divine entity. You don't even have to believe in it.laugh It just helps to give it a name because then it isn't unknown any more. It bypasses the fear of the unknown because once you give it a name it isn't unknown any more.laugh

IMHO..I can't honestly say WHY

But I believe there is a reason for everything. I just don't know it

I can't answer why.

I don't know why God what he does anymore than I can answer what is in the minds of people

People can say one thing but think another. I am not others nor am I not God so I won't pretend to know why or say what is going on in their minds or God's

Drifter,
You can believe whatever you want to believe.I'm a strong person and God is for everyone. When was the last time that you went to church? When was the last time that you prayed?Because I am strong I have an awesome and powerful God and you can hold onto your emptiness all you want, but the truth is that every human being will stand before God one day.Thats all I havee to say to you.I knew that there would be a person saying all that your saying.I will be praying for your unbelief. At least I'm here for the right reasons.I gave an honest answer and you Drifter have chosen to give no hope and no real answer to the person who is seeking real answers. You have no confidence in the truth because you choose to hold on to Satans lies and Satans doubts. How sad is that.Lets not point fingers here.Lets helps this person who posted here and not be soo judegemental.
Sincerely in Christ,

Dear Lord I come before you lifting up Drifter and I pray that you would open this persons blind eyes.Help this person to find you.People in Christ have hope, and Drifter has lost hope.Open their eyes. This I pray in your precious name,Jesus,Amen.

I hate the blame game. This post is not about blaming God for bad things. Why dont we try helping this person and stop blaming God.Maybe the truth is not in everyone here, but lets respect one another and have a real conversation.Lets speak in love and not in blame. Its to easy to blame God and its a cop out really.

The question is where is this great God of ours?

I think he is on another planet watching the evening news of what the green aliens are doing to the purple ones!

God is God ABOVE All, but God is not the god of this world.
God gave man dominion , but because of man's fall ,satan had the right come in and enter this world also....and God could NOT interfere and step across the bloodline now...otherwise, God would have been going against His Word !!

God had to have ACCESS to this world to do that..otherwise God would be breaking His Word...and that access was made thru Jesus Christ coming to dwell with us....and then shedding his blood for us.

NOW God has access thru Christ Jesus , and can NOW move on man's behalf, thru Jesus his Son...because Jesus shed his blood for us....and now there is ACCESS thru the bloodline....thru what Jesus did on that cross.

Now, because of what Christ Jesus did for man,, God NOW Has ACCESS to this world, and can MOVE on behalf of His Son Jesus Christ..thru the Holy Spirit.
But without Jesus's blood shed on the cross, , God would have been making an ILLEGAL TRESPASS.

Google..do some research on this subject...those interested...sorry not able to be online much at this time..

Be Blessed All....flowerforyou

There is an answer to all questions..just have to seek and find...

God is still on the throne..and still in control....

Evidently it doesn’t matter whether there’s a God or not.

Bad sh*t still happens.

Clearly we are on our own whether an intervening God exists or not.

In religions where God is suppose to answer prayers this make no sense.

In religions where God is in us and is experiencing everything with us it makes perfect sense. No one is expected to experience anything alone, nor will they experience anything more than God is willing to experience with them.

So perhaps there is a God, and it just isn’t the intervening type. bigsmile

He is in the same place where He was when his own Son was being crucified, right next to Him.
We can't blame God for the bad things that happen. Bad men and women are the ones who do those things. It does not have to do anything with God.
Try to blame God for that would be the same as trying get apples from a peach tree. In other words naive.

I like that idea James. God experiencing the same things we do. I believe that is true. He is next to us or with us. Therefore, He experience the same things we do. He never leaves us alone.

You're right. God doesn't intervene, unless he's invited.

Bad things are happening because of sin in the world. That was what the fall was all about. You can accept the Lord and stop the corruption within your own life. It won't mean that bad things won't happen to you, but it will mean you have the Lord's help and you have the Lord in your life when bad things happen.

Prayer is important. When you see bad things on the news, pray for those people. Pray for those nations.

We might not be there, but we can pray about things.

I pray that God will touch everyone on JSH. I pray that he will bless everyone experiencing misfortune here and that he will bring those who don't know him to a saving knowledge of his grace and mercy.

May God Bless us All.

Amen.Take a look at Adam and Eve's life. They created sin,not God.Bad things happen everyone,no matter what your beliefs are.Satan does a lot of bad stuff on this earth,so why doesn't the nonbeliever ever get angry with Satan?I wonder. And yet we point the finger at God?God never created evil.Man did,so be mad at man and Satan, not God.God is a God of healing, restoration and he sent his son Jesus to die on the cross for every single one of our sins, even before we were born.God will always be there when everyone else may fail you.We are all sinners and we all fall short. So lets be angry at the right person and not at the wrong person.
