I’ve been told that forgiveness sets one free
Forgiveness in Body, Soul & Mind ease’s the pain
I forgive me for not Loving your Ego
I forgive me for wanting to live life in the Now
I forgive me for losing “Me” in the We
I forgive me for being all that I can be
I forgive me for falling apart when you saw her in my Eyes
I forgive me for always putting me last
I forgive me for I know the difference of Loving someone –
And being in Love with the someone
I forgive me
I forgive you

Dee, that is so true. It is said, even in the Good Book, that we have to forgive ourselves before we forgive others. Just as we have to love ourselves if we expect others to love us. Very well written my dear.

To forgive is to learn to live again.
Until we can learn to forgive we are stuck in time.
Held by our own shackles not being able to move forward.
No one can teach us how to we must learn within.
Within our hearts is where it must begin.
When we can release the hate, hurt & confusion.
And once again let our hearts feel love.
Then once again we can learn to live.
That is when we forgive ourselves.
And to learn to forgive others.
Then the shackles fall from our bodies and we can move on.
The past puts those shackles there.
Once we learn to unleash them then we can go into the future.

((D)) You are such a beautiful soul. I love your honesty in your writing. Forgiveness certainly isn't always easy.

Forgiveness, yes I believe that we ALL need to have the walls put up through a hardship to be broken back down and replaced with the tender inner thoughts that we can over-look the problems and now view that person or persons, with a relaxed form of viewing and all-though the memories of pain remain locked in us.
WE can still see the beauty of what was once seen to start the friendship in the first place.
I have divorced two women, at that time I hated what they had done to me or put our children through, but NOW, I know everything happens for its own reasons and it was meant to be.
So NOW, even 'they' our my friends.
Even if only talking with them every two years, lol

I believe solely in what I have went through as a means to truly believing in these facts.
(I think we all only have that to believe)
I've buried all my past hatchets, and tried to move forward to showing com passions and friendships to everyone I felt at one time being wronged by them. My life has moved forward,
through forgiveness.
Still, how can you write this and keep your walls
up against a forgiveness to me or what we shared?
Just wondering because I have lived through our
hardships, and if any of your children or grandchildren had a accident I would have emailed you and inquired about their condition, and to be supportive to any help I could in words to give.
I do thank you for the sentence you gave in my grand-babies prayer post.
This poem is truly a very nice poem to live by.
And I do live to be what it describes.. I hope you have a great Sunday.
Sorry my reply wasn't just a short passing.
I'm just being real again.flowerforyou
