Could you forgive someone who was verbally abusive to you?

i was with him.. verbal turned to physical.. and eventualy i left..

i couldnt do it again..
took to much of ME out of me.. i lost who i was for to long because of it.

the only difference between verbal and physical abuse is where the scars and bruises are left...

Yes have forgiven...Did so for many, many, years... from the same person... but of course it didn't make them stop...

and so the last forgive was not for them but for myself... because to truly move on... one has to forgive.

I had verbal, emotional, and physical abuse. The best thing I ever did was walk away. Of course now there is the fear that it will happen again....

well the old bf that died 2yrs ago we were together for 3yrs and he was verable abusive and i broke up with him 4 times thinking he would change and of course he didnt.. we got into a argument about something and we worked it out one day and right after we made up he said something on messenger that totally pisted me off but i didnt want to start another argument so i plainly stated to him that im agnoring what he just said and went on and started something differnt.. can i forgive. well that all depends

women are known to verbally abuse as well.

I get called names all the time
I have very dim view of abusive people, be it verbal or otherwise.
