IMHO celibacy is a perversion. It's an unnatural state for humans. We evolved as sexual beings. the most sexual beings we know of in fact. To deny our nature is to deny being human.

i wouldn't ever have sex with someone if i weren't in a serious relationship, and in love, with them.

i think if you really care about someone and feel strongly
that you want to have sex and they feel the same way then that is fine. that's serious enough. i don't think of sex as sport. but neither does it require engagement/marriage. |

It's a fun aerobic activity. You can burn about 272 calories from 1 hour of sex if you put some effort into it. And sex is not the holy grail, I personally don't lord it over people like a prize to be won for coming in first. It's an enjoyable pleasurable act. People make such a big deal about it when it shouldn't be anymore important than running or cycling. Sex is the easy part, the relationship is the difficult part. In summary, celibacy is for monks and nuns, not me.

It's kind of like saying, that your not going to have sex until your married. The problem with that for me is, What happens if i'm not sexually satisfide. Knowing how i'm sexually active. I would not be happy with a dead fish. |

Celibacy/abstaining until a serious relatnshp could be a good thing I think its like resetting ones emotions...
sex is easy lol so maybe focusing on connecting at a deeper level 1st would b beneficial if both people were willing otherwise all is doomed lol |

Hummmm serious relationship before hand hummm.....
Well for me it has to be with someone that I want to be with but as far as how serious it will be who knows till after the fact you have actually sleep with them.... Not into a one night stand or a booty call but not planning on committing completely to another before it happens. Sure I want to get to know them for a bit first. But to say we totally have a relationship prior to sex is unreal what if the sex sucks? Ya still in gun hoe? Hummmmmm that is what bonds two people together in the end...... So ya I want a trial run before I totally commit to another....... |

I don't view sex as some major "holy act" however I don't believe in distributing my azz to every dude who indicates interest either. If you want to sleep with someone, whether you're "serious" or "committed" or you just have mutual attraction, I think you should. I don't put rules on sex, as long as you're both consenting adults go for it.

But that is not a sure thing it is relationship one must ease into it stage by stage..... |

Ya know the old saying it is hard to teach a dog new tricks...... But like I said I'm not into the one niter's sure I want it to be with someone that I'm seeing per-say on a one on one. But that is not a sure thing it is relationship one must ease into it stage by stage..... I love reading the last page of the chapter. Gives me something to look forward to.

..celibacy shows control,which to me is strength and the ability to intelligently rise above one's urges,while also being cautious which is a good thing these days,lessens one chance to get an std they will have to live with for the rest of their lives..i personally have no problem with celibacy..but that's me,and this is jmo..not to mention how one could find themselves raising a child on their own...stand your ground...
